Default Heated Mirrors?

My last few cars including my Subies always had heated seats and heated outside mirrors. Here in New England, it is someting all cars should have. My Baja came without the bun warmers, which I can deal with. But I really miss those heated mirrors on many mornings. The dealer said they could add the heated seats but not the mirrors. My question is, if the Baja is bascially a Legacy/Outback and they can have heated mirrors why can't the Baja??
And, in the rare chance that a car dealer didn't know what he was talking about
Does anyone know if can be done and how much?

You may want to target some Canadians as this is, I belive, Canadians' options. I don't think it's impossible, but someone was saying the mirror heating element is also wired with heated windshield. If I were you, I'd try to get some documentation (that Subaru service web site that charges for PDF) on that specific topic. I also want to see if I can install heated windshield, but that will probably be more work than mirrors...
