They are also saying:

Yeah, right.

And to go on...

However, we have tapped our industry resources to produce this unofficial guide to the automotive future. Due to the dynamic nature of the business, these are strictly predictions.

'nuff said?

Oh yeah, one more thing...look at 2002....specifically:

2002 BMW Mini Cooper: Looking very similar to the Mini Cooper concept unveiled in 1997, BMW will launch the new retro Mini in fall 2001 in both Cooper and 155-horse Cooper S forms.

Didn't BMW just sell Rover?

that Beetle would be like the one in GT2

it's not hard to see, they already have AWD everything (Golf,Jetta,Passat,TT,A4,A6,A8) they already have a 225hp 1.8t (in the TT coupe now) it's not like they have to do any engineering really.

Your kidding about the $30K right? Why the hell would they try to price the damn Beetle in the same class as the Audi? That would put it out of its teenager, mommy and daddy bought me this car in high school demographic.

When they predict WRX in 2001, that doesn't have to mean August 2000 - it could be still on schedule for March 2001, but as a 2001 model instead of 2002 model as previously stated.

New Beetle sales have tanked in the US, and never really took off in Europe like they were expected to. I'd hold off saving for that Rsi. Who'd pay $30G for that? $5G more gets you into the hot TT when that comes over.
