Question carbon fiber hood for 03 RS?

my frd told me that a non turbo car can't use a hood with a scoop(i'm not sure if it's called a scoop, but the thingy on the hood of a turbocharged car) , is that true?

I'm pretty sure you can but it won't serve much function, cuz the air is just feeding into the engine bay. I guess its a good idea for the summer though

gelgel, perhaps you should find a new friend, this one doesn't seem to know his stuff. As said the hoodscoop will allow colder air into the engine bay but will do little to nothing for performance. However, as stated in another thread, it will look PIMP!

If you get cheap ass hood you are most likely going to have fitment issue. I seen fukamoto's hood in person and it looks very nice and I don't notice any fitment problem.

Derke: ever get tons of leaves inside the hood since you don't have an intercooler blocking the stuff?

come on guys, lets leave his friend out of this now

cf hoods range from $400- $1000, so pretty much you get what you pay for. If your not picky then go for the cheaper hoods. Shop around and compare the quality, usually the hoods that make you go are the expensive ones

its a carbon fiber hood from revolution (604 racing) and has koyo has said earlier, it doesn't ahve any fitment issues. i PM'd you my phone number, give me a call and we can meet up. the hood is just sitting at my buddys garage and you can take a peek. it fits perfectly on the RS as I have the exact same car as you. i already sent you pictures so i dont see whats there not to believe. call me.
