Post What are the 0-60/ qtr mile times for the latest 240sx?

I almost bought one, and was wondering what kind of stock performance it had.

Probably low 16's, I had a 97 200sx se-r heavily modded and reached the 1/4 mile in 14.9 the fastest my car was 140 horse stock the 240 has 155 stock but heavier unless you do a motor swap for the sr20de-t which is standard in the 240sx/silvia for the rest of the world in 195,200,225 trims available

Yeah, something like that, I beleive they are a little heavier than the RS. A friend has one and (guiltily, I know, no street racing I had a 3rd-gear-pull with him, and took him rather easily. Also took him at light to light as well (going up to about 60mph). This when my car was stock, his with an intake and exhaust.

Pretty gutless car, too bad. It's pretty slick looking, especially with the silvia aero add-ons, but it just falls short. Why they put that engine in the car and not something with a little more balls I'll never know, I'll also never know why people would by them for the price- he paid close to the price of what the new WRX will be! He could have gotten a prelude or something at the time he got the car.

Oh well.

Thumbs down

My cousin has one... (98 SE?) Its falling apart though (AC is dead, Rattles everywhere, clutch dying again) and he's already looking for another car... (He's finally looking at the RS, im going to take him for a test drive this weekend )

Its fun to drive with the low-seating position and RWD, but its not that fast... He didnt gain much ground on me when I was in my mothers Legacy GT auto (His 240 is stick)

yeah, the 240SX engine is supposedly from one of Nissan's light trucks! Not unless you are going to do an SR20DET swap, don't even consider buying a 240 for its performance or tuning capabilities.
