Have a Nice Day? Binding Rear Differential

My rear differential binds when making sharp turns after driving for a long time (2hours+). I have a MY95 5-speed Legacy.

A subaru mechanic said that this is common with my year car and that putting an additive in the differential fluid may help, or it may need to have a dealer put in a kit.

Is anybody familiar with this???

Yes. 04 STi. binds a bit when turning hard at low speeds especially when cold. It was first noticed after changing to MOtul syn gear 300. The dealer's solution was to go back to OEM gear oil. That helped but now I know about it so I notice it all the time.
