Default No hillholder for Turbo?

I thought Hillholder was a standard equipment for 5MT, but I don't see anywhere mentions hillholder in Turbo spec. Can someone confirm as this is one of my contentious issue with 5MT? Thanks!

I have the 2003 5MT and no hill holder. I miss it! My old 84 GL had it and it was a real life saver when I was learning to drive a stick.

Thanks, BostonBaja, as I was under assumption we got them as Forester got one. Then that's just my misunderstanding.

No.

But Subaru can:
http://www.drive.subaru.com/Spr03_HillHolder.htm

I first imagined the need for a hill holder when I was about 7 years old listening to my parents' Bill Cosby album "Why Is There Air". He has a story of a long line of cars on a steep street in San Francisco, all stuck at a stop sign. They all gave up, shut off their engines, and turned it into a used car lot.

Subaru to the rescue!

My '78 2 door Baja was a base model so unfortunately it had neither the Hill Holder or the secret driving light behind the constellation in the grill.

Our '96 Outback does have a Hill Holder and it works great!

it's a good idea. it's kinda like a brake lock, my dad is getting a forester with a manual transmission soon at his dealership i'll have to see how well it works, would it come on the base model '04 forester? or an '04 WRX?
