Post Attn: ColinL - Sparco seat pic

Here's a better pic of my seats I snapped last night:

and here's a bonus picture of my rear wing - it was a nice sunny day in Boston yesterday.

Hope that helps. Are you thinking of getting seats soon?

-Edwin

what kind of wing is that? V.6?

for some reason it looks taller than the other wings I have seen...V.5, V.6, 22B, RB5

Is it a replica?

It's a v.5 replica - the first Imprex group buy.

Yes, it's tall, isn't it? But it does seem to be pretty much equivalent to the real one - I've compared with other pics shot from about the same angle and they look the same.

wow..well, maybe I got a shorty. My Impex-bought wing looks a lot shorter than that. Edwin, could you measure yours from bottom to top, just to put my mind at rest? Thanks.

I too was in on the first Impex buy...I was wondering how much it cost you to have painted and installed?

Sounds like a serious case of Wing envy..

Thumbs up

Nice looking car Efoo.

The wing looks nice. I ordered one through Gino's group buy a while ago (still waiting to recieve it), but I can't decide if I will install it until my car is fast enough to back up the smack that the huge wing talks I keep seeing posts with the wings, and it is makes me anxious to get mine (someday...must have self-control)

Anyhow, nice car.

what!?! $300+!?! That sucks. I hope to have mine done for $150 at the most. If not, I'll paint that ***** myself. No way I'm going to pay more than the wing itself is worth. At least I have a black car...

Robert: You're funny. But okay, I'll satisfy your curiosity and pad out to my garage now in my slippers with my measuring tape, on this fine Saturday morning...

WRXPRESS: Keep looking until you find a better price. I can't believe you were quoted $300. I only paid $100.

rsquire: If you this this is wing envy, you should see the reaction I got from the BU Civic/Integra crowd when I drove by last week on my way to work.

I dunno. At first, I thought it was *HUGE* --I almost didn't put the wing on. But it's really grown on me. I love the angular shape -- maybe not the size so much, now I'm used to it. It does look normal on the car though, like it belongs there, unlike all those "kombat" body kits on other cars.

4wdrift: I'm running Toyo Proxes T1-S tires - these are the new ones. Great in the rain and on the street, but not quite as good on the track as the old Toyos were I think. But that's just my opinion.

AaronB: Thanks for the compliment. And yeah, I would wait until your car is modded enough to back up the wing. I get way too much attention now from would-be street racers.

Edwin, The seats look way cool! I have a set of the supersport/torinos in the grey/black combo I'm putting in my black '98 RS. Where did you get the seat brackets from and do you have part numbers? Thanks.

tangemere - my seat brackets are custom jobs. Rallispec did them for me in New Jersey - I drove the car in, and they made the brackets for me on the spot. I don't think any Sparco brackets will fit our car off the shelf - they require some modification.

Robert - sorry about not getting to measure the wing yet. I promise I'll do it tomorrow. Got sidetracked celebrating my friend's graduation.

It's not the size. it's how you use it! Remember, all wings aren't created equally. Nice car.
