Question Another rice question...

Ya, I'm a rice boy I should go for performance over looks, etc... Lets get that out of the way right now. On to my question, what headlight bulbs (DOT approved) are the bluest? Not the brightest or the best, the bluest.

Thanks, JC

I will come straiht out and say I do not know. PIAA Super Plasma Blue Headlight Bulbs? I do not think those are the bluest but emit a soft blue tinge.

The blue lights in Maryland were illegal. The clear side markers just need to have orange bulbs in them so that they still have the same effect when they are on. I just went and got the PIAA super whites. I left my fogs with a yellow bulb since it made the headlights look better and I didn't drive around with the fogs on all the time so why waste the cash on replacing them.

they are soooo illegal!! LOL!

i got issued a "fix-it" ticket for them... took them out.. got ticket signed off.. put them back in...

but...
about 2 weeks later, i realized that these damn lights were just unsafe... i couldn't SEE at all at night!! i don't care how COOL they looked... i could not see to drive safely so i took them out and put some SUPERWHITES in and i can see again!! *whew*

anyway... go to any hon-DUH type performance shop and you should be able to locate some really good, BLUE ones... the PIAA's are pretty damn blue but there are other brands if you don't wanna fork over the $$ for them.

good luck to ya... be careful.

Hello,

I can't help it... if you have blue headlights, and you wear those K-mart BlueBlocker sunglasses, can you see anything?

Joel,
hehehehehe

Maybe the answer is to put one of them sweet 4x4 light bars on the roof. Put about 6 lights up there and you could see about...well...50K. Also, you now could cook steak on your roof.

Blue lights, if blue enough (yeah I know that definition is loose) will definetly get you a ticket. Stock Xenon lights are slightly blue, but if you go with ultra-blue lights I almost guarantee you will get pulled over.

Why? Because Red and Blue are light colors designated as Official use only (except for tail lights as red). Yellow is a warning color light (I personally hate those yellow fog lights, but they're legal) and I think any other color and you should be ok. I wouldn't stray too far from white or standard off-white, though, if you are even half-worried about getting a ticket.
