Question Technical question about CEL

Since I get no help or responses much less in the Tech forum,

I get a CEL in 4th and 5th gear when I punch the throttle...

The Car fuel feels like it cuts out. Am I hitting a Fuel Cut off or something?

I have a Blitz SBC boost controller set at about 16psi and I have a BLitz Nur Spec catback and a Injen CAI.

I only hit .90bar or 13.05psi when this happened so i know it wasnt over boost.

I am not familiar enough with boost behaivors yet to know what going on....help...

Also if anyone knows how to successfully set up the boost controller as I am still learning to use it as well that would be awesome if they could help me set mine up.

only in 4th and 5th? And the fuel is cutting out? Do you have a UTEC?

No UTEC....and I have only experienced it in 4th and 5th...usually when i am close to 70-80mph on the Dulles greenway passing someone has always been the magic time

So I guess it's a downshift... maybe the car is sensing a misfire in one of cylinders.. my brother's WRX on stock management was able to get CEL code to pop up after he added the Hyperflow intercooler and running on crappy 92 octane Citgo gas.

I have a CEL code reader, if you want to meet up anytime, let me know. I can clear the code for you for $15 if you want.

You might want to check for overboost or something.. reprogram your SBC so that the boost creeps up instead of an instant spike on the boost.. it just sounds like you just need more fuel and take out some timing.

although my problem wasnt related to any mods (cuz i havent done any!), i found it odd that my CEL was goin off every now and then. it turned out to be a faulty fuel injector, but it would only fail at idle... i saw the code for a misfire, but it never felt like i was losing any power... perhaps something related to your sbc is screwing with the signal sent to the injectors?
