Thumbs up Japanese Forester

I had a chance to run a Japanese Forester tonight on the way home. First off I will admit the Forester is growing on me. I like the one they have here because of the engine, the hood (same as Impreza), the grille, and the bodykit. This thing was tastefully modified. Hell it had been heavily modified. He launched off the line like he was alot lighter car. The poor stock Silvia didn't stand a freakin chance. Now if SOA would just market some performance parts for the Forester. Like maybe that engine out of the STX concept truck? Couldn't even catch the guy to ask him about all his mods. Its probably a good thing cause I would have gotten home really late and the wife would have been pissed. After all I am still working till 8PM doing extra work.

I don't know what's more dis-heartening - getting smoked by a Forester or an Impreza wagon.

Little red wagon smokes Mustang GT!

Oh the pain!

Have you been to the Japan Subaru site at: http://www.suabru.co.jp recently?

They're showing the New Forester S/tb STi here: http://202.217.201.209/showroom/for_sti/

Actually...they just launched a new site yesterday or today...

You need to click on Showroom in the menu.

One word....sscchhhwwweeeeeeeet.

Hello,

Ian, all the important info is still in Japanese though. Except one thing. Notice the 4EAT? Why is it that I can only see an automatic? That's just plain silly

Thumbs up

Man that Forester whipped the Silvia like a gimp mule. It looked cool as hell as well as being fast. That Silver color with a nice dark tint (may have been lighter it was night time after all), huge rims, nice DTM, sound of the turbo, bodykit, and the way it launched on me. Damn these guys and the speed limiter being removed. He just kept gaining speed on me. It didn't help to spin the tires in the Silvia. Can't do much about that as it isn't my car and it hs to stay stock. If SOA brings that Forester you can bet they will sell a few. Why not just offer them as a special order vehicle? Only produce what they need. Alex if your looking to do one of those things as a project car then I hope you post the pics.

I am planning a Forester S/tb Type A project. My 2001 Forester S Premium in black diamond pearl should be hitting port any day now (ordered 4 weeks ago). Planning on TECII n/a in next two months to get used to the tuning interface. Sway bars and suspension soon thereafter. Trey Cobb and Dale Teague are checking into availablity of the STI suspension for me. Wife has promised a Minnam kit on my graduation from college (May 2001)... Why is it that we can't just leave a good vehicle alone...

All Foresters come in AT standart. MT is an option, even for the bad boy ST/b Type A.
