I like to hear people talk about how they're going to earn what they want. AS opposed to how much bragging we hear about what their friend's brother's friend got, or whether their 18yr. old ass should buy an S4 or an M3. I applaud your efforts, and believe me, what you earn, you appreciate. Kick ass.

I would have to agree with the comment about earning your fun. I know I take alot better care of my car because I have to work for it, work to buy parts for it and then install them myself for the most part (bodywork not included). On the down side the more I made the more I would tend to spend. Good luck!

Imprezive,
I'll be JUST as happy(if not happier) for you when you get your Impreza. I think we all will be. By the way, are you planning on getting a used car first? No offense but I highly recommend it, considering your age and driving experience. When I was your age, I had sooo many scrapes, curb bumps, fender benders, dings, snap oversteer, road rages, etc etc....I even ran over a chicken, a cat and even a bat flew into my windshield wiper - all in one night. And I tried to becareful! Anyway, I'm glad you're on your way! |

Hi Chase! Glad to hear you're starting the trek to Imprezadom.
My advice: NEVER take a cooking/kitchen job. YMMV of course, but that's just my opinion. I worked at one (a restaurant) for one day helping out a friend of mine and it was awful. It seemed like an easy job until I actually did it. Horrible. I will never look at food the same way. Can't wait til you get the Impreza! You'll have to drive up to NC as soon as you get it...and of course I'll look around for any used 2.5s in the lots. Another thing to consider may be to get the 2.2 litre, because the insurance is going to be much nicer. And then you can go the route of all the folks that slap a Legacy turbo/Minnam turbo/JC turbo/etc on it. Whatever you end up getting, make sure it's an Impreza, and let us know all about it. |

Actually when I got my RS over a year ago, Allstate had but one entry for '99 Impreza. And my rates have not since gone up, so at least in my case the 2.2's insurance is no cheaper. ![]() |

So you're working floor crew? I work Night Crew for QFC up here in Seattle. We get the floor crew about 5 Nights a week. A maxi Sunday, and buff on the other nights. Its kind of hard to work around, but you get used to it. If you want Night hours, grocery store night crew isn't that bad. And the wages up here aren't to bad either. Try not to stay on Nights to long though. Sleep is hard. I get 5-6 hours of sleep on average. The hours seem to go by fast, and I'm trying for that Promo to get me a $5 an hour raise.

NO i don't work for the grocery store we are indipendent. what is cool is that about 2 years of doing floors. You can make about $150 in a night. Only problem is you have to pay all the taxes since you are an independent conrtractor

impresive: Congrats on the job, it makes everything so much easier when you have some cash flow. I have the perfect 6 month plan for you:
1.Save up your cash and get into a CISCO Certified Course. 2.Study your ass off and memorize everything, hell I've seen CCIE's that are complete idiots. 3.Wave your CCIE,CCNA,CCDA, whatever you get paper infront of some suspective employers. 4.Sit back, relax, and save up for the WRX ![]() Oh yeah, when your relaxing its a great time to learn IOS.. ![]() Again, way to go on the Job!!! ![]() |
