Silver WRX with anthracite wheels, 2 dudes, about 9pm or so going North. Every time I looked over to wave, you guys were looking some other direction.
![]() Thanks for not telling the customs agents to give me trouble. ![]() I FINALLY made it through the border going both ways without having to go through immigration! ![]() Oh, and I'll be crossing the border there more often because I'm stealing your wimminfolk. (read: got myself a girlfriend up in Surrey) ![]() And the rvovom plates are no longer on my car, so it looks just like every other silver RS sedan (my01) except the trunk reads 'RU'.

you leave our Surrey girls alone, you hear!
j/k If you knew what us "locals" said about Surrey girls, you wouldn't be making it known that you're dating one. no worries though, I married a Langey girl. some say that's even worse. ![]() |

I can! The Richmond joke:
"How does a Richmond mom know when her daughter is on the rag?" For those who don't know the answer, it is in 'Symbol' font.. and no, it's not really worth decoding: |

Heh. I was up in Vic yesterday (monday too).
The peace arch border gal was right, I couldn't make the 4pm ferry from the border at 3:40. I was about 5-10 minutes late. Oh well.Perhaps I'll get a ticket in the mail or something. |

oh yeah, and there was a silver 04 wagon a couple of lanes over from me yesterday going through around 6 or 7pm (we were there for a while). I kept hearing it, and I was in the slow lane so it finally caught up. 'hey'
that's all. (I'm bored... at the 'rents, supposed to fix computers but there's no software here for me to install) >sigh< I can think of a dozen things I'd rather be doing than spending christmas in olympia. Not that I don't like my family, I just feel like I'm wasting so much time being down here. ugh. |

I hate to sound like a geezer but it's a lot better than spending Christmas alone. And you're in your state capital. What could be more exciting than that?
I'm trying not to kill people on the roads. All I want to do is go 100kmh. Not 80. Not 90. 100. How hard is that to do people? ![]() |

I got pretty close to 140 a couple of times on 99 and 17 Monday while trying to make that ferry...
But coming back not so much. I spent Thanksgiving alone, wasn't that bad. Would have been fine if I had someplace to plug my oven in so I could have cooked some decent dinner, instead of a can of Split Pea soup. ![]() I don't need people around to be happy. Especially when there's stuff to do. |

Beware the police in BC.
I got a $475 fine and a notice to appear in court a few years ago, for cutting close to a very slow moving undercover cop car. After cutting off the undercover car (a non-uniformed geezer in a silver Crown Vic) I then proceeded to continue on with my 80kmh trek on the Mary Hill, only to look in my rearview, and find the undercover car catching up to me. "bastard geezer just found the gas pedal" I thought, as I downshifted and brought my car to 100kmh..... Long story short, I was pulled over within seconds. ![]() The charges were dropped when my case got caught up in the court system, and the guy retired. I love when justice actually works. ![]() |

140 kph silly! The RS won't go that fast (or rather, I haven't found a road long enough).
The mustang I've had up in the 140mph neighborhood a couple of times, but it doesn't have a roof so it's not such a hot car to leave overnight at the ferry terminal (especially in the rain). I try my best to do as the locals and use kph/liter errr litres or whatever when I'm talking to my northern neighbo(u)rs. ![]() |
