Post ColinL - almost there!

It is Y2K and Colin is almost at his 2000th post. Sorry for the totally meaningless topic, but someone, give this guy expert status!

On another note, 8Complex may very well reach that milestone by next week the rate at which he posts.

My number of posts have dropped off in the last few weeks. I need to get back on this board more often.

We should have like a Comedy Roost for the ones that have reached 2000 post. Make a thread and give them your best shot for about a week. What do you guys think?

Gambit - Right now I'm a temp in an Engineering position at a company going through "oops, we lost 200 million dollars somewhere" trouble, so noone is giving me any work and they're just letting me sit around and do nothing. I'm sure my level of posts will start receding as I get more work (hopefully in the next week or two, I hate being bored to hell all the time, even if I am getting paid for it).

BTW how is the miata coming? I wonder how much of a threat the miata crowd considers the new MR2? Good/bad?

Rich, the miata is fine but I hate the small footwell and no-tilt wheel. Good thing it's my wife's car because I honestly don't think I would buy one. (hope no miataforum folks see that!) It's a lot of fun but you have to rev the nuts off it do anything in a hurry. Very nice chassis and suspension.

The MR2-S is a threat on the various racing circuits, but I think it will loose a lot of steam once the initial hype dies down. You can't even take 2 overnight bags in the stupid thing... how fun is a roadster if you and the S.O. can't go away for a weekend? I personally think the M2 (99-up miata) looks much better, the MR2-S is a bad Boxster knockoff.

I agree on that about the newer miata's. Especially the limited editions with the 6spd. MR2 does look like a blatant boxter ripoff but heck it performs like a mini-boxter and like you said the actual cargo space would keep me from getting one other wise the miata is my choice of the two.
Knight Sev blue needs to fix his e-mail problem first .

Hey there are no holy Knight's in my kingdom????? Those who have been knighted have been sitting at the "Imprezarice" table planning our next great adventure in my "ricedom". You must earn your Knighting by showing true gallantry in the persuit of "Imprezarice".

ColinL are you conceding the "Duke of Posting" to 8complex . I remember when you used to post all the time like 8 is now. Congrats and may we all continue to learn about our cars and fellow members of the club.
