Oh no not Knight Sev Blue!!!! Must be that turbo prelude calling your name . Knight's we must pull together as the loss of Knight blue cannot happen please find anything and everything blue and send it to him to remind him that blue should not be what he is feeling. We will need more knight's to fill blue's place since he feels he has to give up his faithful steed(actually he want's to become the Duke of Posting)? Who will fill his space?
  • *Jim... Knight of Forced Air?
*8complex.... Knight of extreme amount's of posts(wow what a title) in a short amount of time?
    *Imprezive.....Knight of Impreza Hope?
    *Opie....Knight of "Griffith" land?
    *SubyPrez20...Knight of sold cars?
    *Templar.....Knight of "Cold dead hands"?
    *Mel22b...Knight of the "mysterious edit"?
    *Snoopy......Knight of "Schultz"?
    *John2.5rs...Knight of the "Impreza Legacy"?
    *Wolve80...Knight of the "confused"?
    *NeedaScooby...Knight of the "BWAAAAAHHHHHAAAAAAAHHAHAAAHA"?
Who is here with the "King" to help our misguided Knight to steer him back to the kingdom?

Knight Faraz of the "strong hearted" along with Knight Squire is there by my side on this one a well as Knight Nick (but where is my Tech Jester with my Crown to help).
Rich

Hello,

Well, here's as good a place as any to answer Rich's long post. I think the reason you see me and Shiv posting often in the same threads is because those are the threads that are most interesting to people who are interested in actual performance (note that among many others, too many to mention, Randy also posts in those exact same threads, except he seems to have all his textbooks at hand )... and usually those are the threads that are not the 900th time the same question has been answered.

As for the "numbers" issue on the dyno charts, the numbers WERE important to demonstrate the mis-sized turbo. If you get a teenie-tiny turbo, the hp that it creates will be less than if you have an appropriate sized turbo. That's why the numbers, which were fairly low at the peak, but exceptionally low at high RPMs, WERE relevant and needed to be discussed. My discussion then went into causes for that loss of power. Shiv then, without pointing out my error, just opined that the small turbo was causing backpressure.

Anyway, Shiv and I disagree quite often. I think Shiv is wrong almost as often as I am, and y'all know that I'm wrong quite often Or often enough!

Often wrong, never a puppet,
Joel

Joel you really should have posted that the first time. Nice to see it finally instead of you stating the #'s which wasn't why I linked it and now you gave a pertinent reason why you went for the #'s. The turbo post had alot more pertinent info for the avg. member and it needed to be addressed. Joel I am glad to see that you are using the knowledge that I know you have . BTW Beachbum need's some advice on installing AWD hubs in the Tech forum since I know you have done this.
Rich
(Glad to see Joel come around now hopefully we can all laugh since we harbor no hard feelings I still like my Tech Jester )

To know one is wrong is worse than to think one is right, for why did one open his mouth in the first place?
I say we put Mprezya and Clifford on the track and watch em duke it out. A duel to the finish.

Question

Okay, I don't get it. What's the name "Clifford" related to? What are YOU talking about, Nick? Sheesh.

And as for posting when I'm wrong, I actually don't know that I'm wrong when I post something. If I think I might be wrong, I write that I think the answer is blah blah blah. I just know that someone is bound to know something better than me and point out that I am wrong. The only things I KNOW I am right about are the things I have done.

Rich, about helping Beechum or whomever with the rear end conversion, someone should really archive/faq one of my multitude of posts on that subject. My memory is fading of the exact process, it's been so long and I've done so many projects since then. Anyone have one of my Mlist descriptions of how to swap the rear end? I never keep mlist mail

Joel - who thought he was clear, but obviously wasn't re the numbers

A duel to the finish? Cool like a Celebrity Death Match? I-Club tag team Death Match. each person partners with his trunk monkey and they go at it. The weapons will be cat-back exhausts and hoods as shields. If somebody posts too many rice topics then we flog him/her with spark plug wires. That ought to keep people inline.
Good to know nobody took any of the comments personally.

Joel ever seen "Cheer's"?

Joel now you know how it was for me in the clear taillight post when you still wouldn't see what I was saying. Joel it's good to see that you can be resonable and aren't afraid to admit times when you are wrong. Heck all I wanted from the turbo post was to make people more aware of what to look at/for.
Heck that post alone brough tout alot of valid points as well as helped alot of people understand decisions and questions they were making with turbo kits. We all don't know everything and are all subject to our own opinion/thought/ideas. Heck we all aren't lemmings now are we.
I hope you can take this all in fun since we have both been around this club and the checkpoint for too long and we don't even have 2.5rs's.
Joel I know I have been carried away with the whole "King" thing but heck I think it's funny and hopefully it will remind us that even though we can flame each other it's all in fun "Tech Jester". So can I get my crown ?

N/A you crack me up Knight of the "I-Club tag team Death Match" .

Hello,

Oh yeah, Rich, you gonna be at Buttonwillow on the 10-11th? I'm now sure that my engine work won't be done (I'm teaching myself how to port and polish with a dremel tool, so I'm taking my time and I still have some parts that aren't here), so I should be able to show up with my 1.8L engine still installed. You have 30 hp on me but a slushbox... should be fun.

I'll show you who's king!
