Default Chasis choice?

My whole goal is to have a chasis that is the same as the '99 2.5RS coupe. From what little I have heard, the L series uses the same chasis... is this true.

only other consideration is that the later cars are stronger
my 93 weighs ~2500 lbs the 99-2000 RS are closer to 2850 .. but have more internal bracing

also consider a pre 96 as they don't have the obd-2 ECUs

from the sounds of it you are lookig for the some what rare 95 coupe ...

coupes were not made befor 95

is that why a body kit for a 4 door will fit a 2 door?

YES,

In fact if you look at the side skirts (I take it you are meaning the Stock RS units and not aftermarket) The junction between the skirts (Front and back) are located right where the door seem is for the 4-door. On the 2-door it sits a bit forward to the door seem as the 2-door has longer doors then the 4-door.

As for everything else......most aftermarket kits, especially those for the Japan Market are made for the 4-door as the 2-door is very rare over there and only made for certain years. But there are a FEW exceptions, especially if the skirts are for wide body kits and or flare up at the rear wheel wells, then it is 2/4 door specific.

Just FYI

Cheers

EddyL.
