I was curious if there is a way to swap out the old rear wiper on a bugeye wagon to the nicer looking 06 wagon wiper? I searched and could not find anything about it.
Back story: I parked my 2002 WRX Wagon next to my friends 2006 WRX Wagon and I noticed that the wipers are different. I like the sleeker look of the one on the 2006 WRX wagon. Could I swap this out or am i stuck with my old wiper? Since we are on the subject, are there any plugs I could put in that hole if I removed the wiper completely? Back when I was into Hondas, it was common practice to remove the rear wiper on the Integra. I did it to my Accord wagon. Thanks in advance!

Sorry, just trying to help. If you had actually looked at your car and/or your friend's car you would have seen this is painfully simple. The rear wiper shaft is the same from the 90s through now, and is the same as many other brands of vehicles, too.

I have an 02 wagon as well and was able to delete the wiper using a plastic end cap from the lowes hardware section. Cost less than 2 bucks and used some silicone to seal it up. I was a fan of the delete for vdubs on the GTI and I like the clean look.

Here's my delete. I used a rubber plug from a place online I can't remember the name though. Just look up rubber/plastic plugs.
