Post Which car? MY `98 or MY `99-01?

I was wondering which car is better I know that all of them has about the same amount of horse power ( correct me if i'm wrong). The `98 model is DOHC and the `99-01 is SOHC is there any differences in preformance? Also what features does the current 2.5RS has that the `98 doesn't. Thanks

98 has 4 lb. feet less of torque, a 4 bolt setup for the tranny instead of the 7 on the 99+up, the 98 has black face gauges others have white faced gauges, the 98 has a MAS, while the 99 has a maf, and the 00+01 have a MAP ( i think that is how it goes...think) the 98 has the smaller projector fogs (easily changable front bumper though), the 01 also has cabon fibre standard, and the 00+01 have the rear limited slip differential which makes it fun in the not so dry conditions i am not putting everything in, if i did i could fill a book

edit: i can't speeel

well stock for stock they are teh "same" although i have a feeling some other tweaking went into the my00 and my01 motors as stock vs. stock they feel quicker and even with the same intake the my00 pulls a TON harder and stronger thourgh the rev band.

u lose more torque, 4 foot-pounds at peak out put, and also (from what RidinLow has told me) u aslo lose roughly 50% of torque in the lower rpm band in the 98's compared to the higher models. MY00 and up have LSD - no it doesnt mean it comes come with acid - its a viscous rear "Limited Slip Differential" which distributes torque to the rear wheels more efficiently allowing for better handling and traction and junk, especially turns (u can pull out of them much harder). MY98 and MY99 have MAF and the MY98's somtimes fail w/ aftermarket intakes. MY00 and up have MAP and a different intake system which is rumored to actually give the car more hp as well. those are just performance differences, and not all of them im sure, just the only one's i can think of.
