Default Blitz NurSpec Touring vs Blitz Nur Spec R

In all my searches I couldn't find a descent answer to some of my questions. My main concern is power, I really don't care about sound unless an exhaust is going to be so obnoxious that it ruins my car.

For one, does anyone know if I can get the same numbers and performance out of a Touring that I could out of the Nur Spec R?
I want this car to have in the mid 300's awhp when i'm done with it. I'm just wondering if the Touring is going to leave me hanging due to that large resonator.
I really don't know how the WRX is going to sound in person if I bought the NurSpec R. My brother has a boosted civic w/ LS swap and an APEXI N1, the thing is LOUD. I'd really hope my car wouldn't sound like that. (Decibal wise.) I know the WRX will never sound like a civic, but I speak more from the annoyance factor.

Another thing, does anyone sell some sort of aftermarket exhaust heatshield or finisher to prevent my rear bumper from turning black? It seems everyone i've seen that has a blitz exhaust has that familiar Black Burn on their rear.

That is all. Thanks.

Default Blitz Nur Spec Racing is loud.

Can't comment on the performance of the touring, I have the Racing model. As for the bumper, if you track your car, you'll melt the bumper. Check this

I have the nur spec r....not even close to hitting my bumper. Great deep sound....oneo fht the best sounding wrx exhausts. its supposedly oneo f the loudest on the market, but i dotn consider it loud at all...once again because of my friend w/ an LS w/ the apex N1 and catless exhaust.

Default Nobody said

it was close to hitting the bumper. If you track your car and don't drive like a girl, the Blitz (and others) will melt your bumper. A lot of guys here in Hawaii that track their cars have experienced this. If you drive on the street, you'll probably never see this problem.

Default I didn't

see it on their site. BIGSKYWRX has a protector on his car. It's silver, and my car is black, so I probably will just cut the bumper instead. No big deal.

Is your wrx catless?
I also have heard that the nur spec r is suppose to be really loud. My little brother runs the nur spec r catless on a evo6 it's loud, but not too loud. I still wounder how it would be on a catless wrx. If it's slightly quiter I would love it..

I don't know of the power difference...but I can guarantee the spec r is loud. Running catless it will stain your bumper. I modified mine to hang out further. 3" of pipe was welded and the exhaust hangers cut and moved. The hks does not have the burn problem. If I were to do it all over I'd get that one plus its sound is mediocre not hardcore like blitz. I do love the sound though
