Question 15k mile service

I'm a little bit overdue for my first 15k service. I was wondering if anyone took it to a place other tnan the dealership for the service. I checked the service book and it doesn't look like too much, so can a jiffy lube or something do it?

I'm sure a place like that could do it, sure.
Just be sure to check your car over before you leave. Places like that are notorious for bonehead mistakes. Like... not putting the oil cap back in. (Tightly, at least.)

I'd say go to a dealer anyway, more security, better coverage... and probably not much more expensive.

Another reason I want to go to another place is cuz I have a custom intake in there plus a stromung and don't want the dealership to say anything about it. Kinda lazy too lazy to put the stock one back in.
thanks
Jeff

Cool

What about warranty? If you don't get scheduled maintenence done by a dealer, doesn't that void the warranty?

You can get the scheduled maintenance done anywhere and it will not void the warranty.

I would call your dealership up and talk to the service manager about their feelings on modifications done to the car. The dealership I go to is pretty leaniant(spelling correction) on mods. The only thing they don't like is if you messed around with the engine or changed your exhaust before the catalytic converter. The warranty implies that if the part you changed doesn't have anything to do with the problem it is ok. That's the way the service manager explained it to me. Plus the service guys get a kick out of the mods us guys make to the car.
