When you perform a swap like the EJ20 into a GCC, how would you go about fitting aftermarket parts such as intakes, exhausts, intercooler, etc?

well they do make FMIC kits for the gc chasis. they are jdm but fairly easy to find.
intake is easy, just get a short ram. exhaust is fairly easy. just get a custom mid pipe made for what every dp and axel back you get. if your looking to go 3 inch turbo back then get like an hks dp, and have a shop do a custom dp back with like an aftermarket borla muffler or something liek that. i have a 92 legacy exhaust on my 95. and i know wrx exhaust firts on the legacy, but it does not for the gc. |

they are the same you do not need a custom mid pipe .. you just have to use a complete system ... (can't mix and match jdm gc8 exaust parts and usdm gda parts) .. a stock gda exaust will fit a gc* chassie |

A full turbo back will fit either body style. The only difference is one hanger on the muffler which I don't even have attached. So I have just three hangers holding up the Brullen exhaust and that thing is heavy. Doesn't really move around much and that's without the spring bolts which I should really put back on.

I must say this is great. Subarus have more interchangability than Nissans and Hondas!

Well you still have to move that one exhaust hanger on the axle back, but the rest lines up just fine.

Yup, I'm running an '02 TurboXS turboback on my '98 with EJ20. My car has the WRX rear crossmember as well, so all 4 of my hangers fit.
