Default Engine swap questions

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2451477080

I was looking at this and was wondering if that will bolt into a 2000 2.5RS impreza?

only thing I know about it is its a SUBARU WRX 2.0 LITER TURBO SWAP....

I'm going to call sometime tonight to get more info, but if anyone here know if that would or not, let me know..

thanks,
space

it's not a swap per say, it's probably a salvage yard that bought the WRX at auction, and is simply selling the drive train out of it, just make sure you get everything you need with it, call the number, they are probably more than willing to help with any questions. it's my undrstanding that it will bolt right in, i know the crossmember fits, you may need to make slight modifications, i can't say for sure, haven't done one of those yet as far as i know there aren't any probs, people have done that swap

check out the conversions forum and search around

That engine looks like an older turbo legacy rs engine. It could be a wrx engine, but they only had the funkey exhaust chimmey for about two years, so i would research that one.

ok, that is not a legacy RS motor. the legacy RS motor had an air/water intercooler. I think its a v.2 wrx motor. One way to tell would be to see what turbo is on it. But it had an automatic so that is very strang. Didnt konw the wrx ever came with an auto.

i would email the seller and ask a few question.s

and read the FAQ it will answer most of your questions.
