Have a Nice Day? Can anyone explain how this has to be a catch to my friend?

Ridiculously Cheap Cars

She's showing me how she wants some "cute" 2001 Acura Integra that's only $1200 and has 50k miles on it, but I don't know how to tell her it's a catch with proof besides these ads looking very suspicious.

They gave a link to this site and if anyone can explain to me how I can tell her there has to be a catch I'd appreciate it. And if not, then this is insane.

The Integra Ad

Are they auctions? Because I don't see them under auctions.

Everything about the site keeps repeating "AUCTION!" It's like eBay auctions that start at 1 cent. You can get good deals at those auctions, just don't expect "ridiculously cheap"

The funny part is, that's a picture of an NSX.

Sure looks like a publicity shot to me, no way that's the actual car, Integras don't look anything like it.

I call scam/misleading advertising.

A 2001 "Integra" that shows an NSX in the picture for $1500 and you want to know what's suspicious about it

i used to be an auction buyer and integras went for 1200 and up, it depends on who is buying at these auctions. what you want to do is check out the car if you can run the vin on carfax, it might have been wrecked or it might have a bad tranny, it might even have been wrecked and fixed but no one was notified. i.e. insurance. or stuff was stolen out of it, hondas are real popular for havin the drivetrains stolen , check the listing, it might not have a motor because it's a theft recovery, also find out who is selling the car, if the auction is selling it or private party or by a company, if you can, sometimes you can't

oh the interior might be stolen, plus if doesn't have a v-tec than it won't be worth a whole lot

it probably won't sell for 1200, i took a quick look and it looks like an online auction, in which the bidding starts at 1200, the car will probaably go for 2k or 3k depending on condition
