Cool Pic from GT2000 - Release date announced. =)

Check out who's leading the pack... and check out the green Lancia Stratos back there... =)

It's supposed to be a launch title for the US Playstation2 release! Can't wait 'til October 26 now...

I personally cant wait to play GT2 on dreamcast with BLEEM!. It pays PS games on the DC running in High Res with much smother textures. From what I understand, GT2 on Bleemcast rivals even GT2000 on PS2.
Not that I am anti PS2 or anything, there looks to be some mighty fine titles coming out for that console. However, BLEEM! will make for a nice addition to my already growing selection of A+ DC games. I too will wait a year or so to actually get a PS2, just to see if does in fact live up to the hype...

Hmmmmmm... looks like I'm going to have to get that when it comes out. Only 4 days after my b-day so hopefully I get a little cash from the family to help out.

Damn... why did I have to retain the most expensive hobby I had from when I was a kid?

Is that an actual playing shot, or an intro shot? Smooooooth if it is a playing shot.

Hey, quick question, since I just accomplished it, how is it that I have accopmlished everything that I thought I could, yet it is at 96.86%?

Now I am just trying to organize the perfect garage of the BEST cars Let the fun begin.

First releases of GT2 did that due to the fact that they editied a portion of the game out and never fixed the percentage bar.

Yeah,
I got the super Licence when I completed all the other licences. I think you guys are right with the drag racing thing.

So, who has all gold on all the licences? Anyone?

Just curious as to what the other cars you get from them. I've got silver in everything except for the first set of licences in which I have all gold and the cool spoon S2000 appeared.

Cool

I have all the licenses in GOLD thank you ...ok you can stop bowing
I also work at EBX so I know the deal ...and everyone of us are very weary of the first gen PS2. Looks like a replay shot, or the intro i'll have to check the intro agian. If you have one of the messed up versions of GT2 you can write sony they'll send you a fixed one ...they did for me ...ok handed me, but that's another story. Bleem to play PSX games on Dreamcast? Reflex ...tell me more!!!

You know what, I played GT2K at this years E3 and although I was impressed with the graphics, the gameplay wasn't as responsive. It was as if there was some sort of delay from when you puched a button to when it was reflected in the game. It was a pre-release version though so hopefully it'll be better in the real version. Oh yeah, gotta love those analog buttons for the brake and throttle.

sorry, but that looks ass. After all that hype and crap about the PSX2 that game looks like big letdown. If that's what we can expect from this super machine, I'll pass.

Has anyone seen Real World Racers. (I think that's the title). This game is sick, the screen shots are disgustingly realistic. I think that you can actually see the parts moving on the car. Like the drive shaft and engine parts. It's supposed to have the most realistic physics ever, and you even have to do your own servicing on pit stops. You have to put the gas pump in the whole, wipe the windshield, everything. It's gonna be amazing. I think I saw it in Next Gen or whatever it's calling itself now. Can't wait.

Hmmm

RB5, S2000, TVR(? or is it a Griffith), Viper GTS, Vette and Stratos. That sound like an excellent start to my garage

Why oh WHY haven't I hit the lottery!? Am I not deserving?!

yeah, that's the drag mode that they took out, they even left a drag racing part in the manual... oh well...

btw, that pic looks like a reply shot considering the camera angle, but it's still damned pretty

Muahaha I work at an Electronics Boutique and we'll probably get the PS2 and GT2000 a few days before release date and although we still can't sell them (street date) no ones stopping us from taking them home Oh Faraz the PS2 had problems in Japan but they're like the beta testers for this sort of thing all the bugs have been fixed and nothing should go wrong at launch. Too bad you took your name off, launch is sold-out and Sony probably won't get anymore out until after x-mas

Needa,

Have you gotten the super license? It pops up after the rest of the game is completed. When you get the license more levels pop up. So check your license section to see if it's there. Otherwise it's probably the GT2 bugs.

Hey folks, I'm obviously new to this place, I'm from T.O. Don't own an Impreza quite yet, but hopefully will get one this summer coming. This post interested me as I'm a huge gaming fan as well as an Impreza fan! Anyway, I believe that screen shot is a replay, but not 100% sure, and GT2000 is not slated to come out on launch w/the PS2, I think it got bumped back to Jan 2001. But if ya guys wanna play a great game now, check out Sega GT for the Dreamcast... I've got it, and it's a great game! Regarding BleemCast, it's just like Bleem! for PC, but for the DC, it plays PSX games at 640x480 with some graphical enhancements such as Anti Aliasing(I think) and other features. It was due out a while ago, but I believe there's some probs as Bleem! makers were trying to get the PSX gamepads to work on the DC, but it was causing problems, so who knows.
here's a pic of Sega GT, the picture is courtesy of Dailyradar. Oh yeah, there's a Drag Racing mode in Sega GT and boy is it fun, the Impreza kicks the crap out of most of the cars in the game...

As someone else said before, GT3 has been delayed till winter 00/01. It looks a LOT better than that pic now and the anti-aliasing problems have been fixed. They're reduced the number of cars from 500+ to 150 because it takes 15 days to model each car. The lead designer says it will be the perfect driving simulation with the new steering wheel and pedals some 3rd party is making.
