Arrow Finally got my RX-7 beater!

I finally went and picked up my 1983 RX-7 last night. It has some things wrong with it(i.e., alignment front seat, clutch, etc...), but it was lots of fun in that crappy condition. I sure do miss RWD and lightin' the tires up.

Had to peel out a few times last night and started going sideways. Yeah!

Would anyone happen to know any place to get an exhaust that makes it sound tougher and deeper? Any links?

nice pickup man! those RX-7's are too much fun, i think but, IMHO, don't go for a deep tone, it's a rotary! they sound like a bumble-bee on steroids

Do you need to worry about emissions? If not, get the Pacesetter exhaust (cheap and looks good under those cars) and have a shop fab up a pipe from the manifold back to the "hump pipe" that goes over the axle (included with muffler)

Great sound and power increase, especially for the money!

edit: If you don't mind annoying the entire neighborhood (city? ) disconnect the exhaust at the header and fire it up once. Bumblebee? Try a chainsaw the size of a house !

No emissions tests here!

What is the sound that Pacesetter setup makes?

With the resonated dual tips, it take some of the "buzz" off and mellows out the rest of the tone. Still unlike anything else on the road.

I miss mine
