the last STi wagon made was in 2001 (jdm only) and was a v7, for an 07 to use these you'd have to swap in the older v7 top mounts (not as good), not to mention these springs are pretty rare
the 06 STi takeoffs will fit w/o any top swapping and the rates are firmer than both the v7 STi sedan and wagon. yes the free length on sedan springs is a little less than wagon springs, thus the reason folks will commonly add a spacer/shim

From what I understand, the GR2 wouldn't be an ideal shock for these springs, but probably better than stock, no? Just while I prep for inserts. |

^ I think the GR2's would fine w/ those springs, the Koni's are simply a better damper

This weekend I met someone with an identical wrx wagon like mine. He had the swift springs on his wrx and it didnt look very low. just right. If you want stock height, stay with the stock springs and just upgrade your struts. I have tried looking for stock replacement springs and there is nothing but lowering springs everywhere. Have you looked at/heard of King springs? Those dont lower your car.

if you want increased front track, go w/ sedan front arms (a wider front track to rear dials out a little understeer) |

The STI springs are affordable and effective, so I'll give that a shot first, as this is my first time dipping my toes into the waters of chassis mods (other than sway bars). -Better F/R ratio (1.15/1 vs 1.22/1 stock). -Proven performance. -Not excessively stiff for DD duties. |

Figured I'd share my hard work too.
04 WRB WRX Whiteline sways and endlinks front and rear. sways: 22f/24r Koni sport inserts in stock housings w/ rce black springs. Group-n top hats front and rear Saggy butt spacers Whiteline strut bars front and rear Kart boy diff locks, shifter bushings. Tic rear diff, outrigger, tranny x member bushings. So far happy with the outcome especially because it's my daily. Only thing that bothers me is my rear passenger strut has started to make a small popping noise when it travels a bit. (going in and out of driveway, over speed bumps) On a side note, how has everyone liked/disliked adding the anti lift kit and roll center adj? |

Does anyone know anything about the KYB Ultra-SR? According to their catalogue it seems that there is a fitment for USDM 2004 and 2005 WRX wagon (part # 324034/5/6/7). It appears to be stiffer than the Excel-G and if the fitment is right, it might be a good pair with the SPT pink springs! rockauto ships them for $650 a set.

then look at your goals: Looks ( do what ya like to get low ) Looks + performance+DD (I like Koni but d-spec & 04 STi take offs are good) Auto X ( just for fun or nationally competitive) Rally X (don't use koni inserts) Track car. Then you look at you budget. (are you cheep/pore find Sti take offs) Then you look at what is available and works well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Then realize you have a wagon and most of what available will be sedan specific. This is not a problem just wrinkle:
so the answer goes like this: If you are going to a low spring it should be stiffer/high rate. If you are putting on stiffer springs then you should use stiffer top hats ( Group N (F/R)/ Whiteline Com C front) Struts options last I checked we have 4 choses. Koni inserts preferably in wagon housings (get D rex extenders I wish I had) works well with most options D spec good and robust works well with most options KYB adjustable cheep but not very adjustable 4 point only KYB GR2 not adjustable very close to stock but 10%-20% stiffer Ok with pinks and other less stiffly sprung springsSprings STi Sti take off's (cheep get them used and easy to find) Sti wagon springs (less cheep but good for wagons no saggy but shimneeded) RCE Blacks better then Sti take offs but same ride hight Yellows as low as you can go and still have high performance Swift WRX STi There are a few others manufactures that people like. Sway bars Sway bars a little stiffer is good for body roll more use full for soft springs. No need to go crazy unless you are Auto X Rally X or track day, in this case go see what works for those guys in those threads as they have very specific set ups that people like. Don't think that this is the same as DD the same stuff might work but it might not. check out the appropriate threaded in the Motorsport section Other stuff lots of ways to get you car stiffer for higher performance. Do you need it well what are your goals what are class requirements. Anti lift kit and roll center correction. In every thing i read they are an improvement to how the car handles. always start here Suspension Supersticky: Springs, Coilovers, Swaybars, S-Techs, fitment, tech, more! look for stuff written by Bigsky, the unabomber, ether of the guys at TIC and Buttdyno or a few other that are very knowledgeable. See its not that complicated. notice I did not even say coil overs you probably don't need them. Ry |

Trying to search from the mobile is proving harder than I remembered.
04 wrx wagon Hotchkiss sway bars Soon to be adding sedan front control arms. The question: Can I use whiteline spherical endlinks and retain the wagon bar with sedan arms? I could've sworn I read it somewhere but I'd like to confirm. |

The is only need a saggy but shim is if you use sedan springs on a wagon. They give you back 1/4 or 3/8 of an inch back that the extra hevy rear end of the wagon takes.
Almost springsmworth having are 04+ so plan on getting new tophats and make them Group N |

Do I HAVE to get 04-07 group n rear top hats so the sti pink usdm wagon springs to fit? Could i just use a normal OEM 04-07 rear top hat? I have an 02 WRX wagon. Id really like to not have to use different top hats. But I have to, i will.

with an 02 I would want to freshen up the front mounts as well- they are a wear item and this would be the optimum time to replace them
