To get a 5.8 0-60, they may have had to break some other things too! But it is an awesome time.

SubyRacer, your gonna make alot of enemies real fast with comments like that about respected people on this board. Though I havent had any dealings with Sugar there are many many people here who have, and I hear nothing but good things! so be nice .

Just relax. We are here to have fun and learn not flame others.

i dont really care if i make enemies, each to his own, if someones pissed at me thats their problem not mine. but i acknowledge that i did come off as a smart ass, it wasnt suppost to be mean or anything, but reading it now, it does make me sound like sound sorta like an a-hole, but whatever, its been a stressfull week, and i dont really care, lighten up peopel poeple it wasnt suppost to be insulting. if i offended you (sugar, cuz thats who iwas talking too, dont care about anuone else), i apologize, i apologize to you for being a sn=amrtass when it there was no need for it, there is alot of that goin around on this board now, u know thta subtlr smart ass stuff, esopecially to newbies, and i usuaully hate it, but now i just dont care that much for some reasom. and in defense for my self, i picked up that copy of C&D on march 1st at the local book store and there have been about a dozen posts on it the WRX forum since late FEBRUARY, so its been out much longer than u some of u are making out (where have all u been), and like every three threads that mention the WRX it seems like that time is givin out, even at celica/honda/vw/ forums etc.

and if this post makes no sense, appogize, it because i just downed 3 beers a little while ago.

When I was at the dealer ordering my WRX they had some special magazine from Road And Track with like 30 pages of 4 articles on the WRX. They only had one and I copied some pages from it. Anyone know if it's possible to get the complete magazine somehow?

Anyways, if I remember correctly, Road and Track is also claiming 5.7sec.

Be glad the manufacturer claims 6.4, insurance is cheaper.

SubyRacer. That is really a BS copout. You are posting on a public board that a lot of people read. As people spend more time on the board a sense of community is created. As such, if you post to one person, you are posting to many people. If you are rude to one person, many people will take offense to your comments. I personally take offense to any comment on a public message board that is rude, derogatory, demeaning or just plain not polite. The written form of the English language is a powerful form of expression. However, it does have its flaws. Since inflection is impossible to communicate and tone is often misunderstood, the written form should be used with care. What you see as a simple non-offensive statement could be misunderstood my many more people than just the person you were trying to communicate with.
My advice is to think about what you are typing and remember that this is a community. Humans are social animals and we will protect our friends and families...even if they are of the extended, cyberspace type.

Friendly advice.

On another topic I think everyone should also remember that if you see a post that has been answered again and again rather than flaming the person and telling them to search the archives...just ignore it and someone with more time, more patience for new people and a greater willingness to help will point them in the right direction. You waste more time flaming than just moving on.

My .02.

Lay off SubyRacer people. hell, unlike most of you, I have actually met Sugar, and I still believe some of you are blowing this out of proportion. If SubyRacer wants to sound like a prick, let him. Its his choice. I've done my share of it...I believe its soul therapy. And besides, why are you treating someone with over 500 posts on this board like some kind of newbie?

Anyway, sugar, I'm looking forward to seeing you again at the next SE region meet.

lets see how long we can drag this out shall we?<--------look subyracer is being a smartass again, why do u care? let it sliiiiiiiiiiiide.

P.S. when newbies ask "stupid" "repetitive" questions on this board and are immediately ass raped by the all the impatient members on this board, im usually the first and ONLY person to give a straight reply and give them a striaght answer. please dont talk about what you dont know people, you cant judge a person based on one statement he says or one action he does. you guys really are blowing this way out of proportion.

i just picked up the mag my self. i dont know how they got that time ejicon, the rex was stock, they just said they tested it at 5.4s 0 - 60, and QM at 14.2s @ 93.6s. it didnt say they launched it hard or any specifics like that. they did say it was as quick as the boxster S they testd thou, i dunno. oh and brakeing 70 - 0 was 165ft damn! maybe their WRX was broken in or something, who knows? i always said that low 14's were possible thou , afterall autocar got a 14.5s @ 95mph for the less powerful eurospec car, and there was that guy who ran a 14.4s QM at ls1.com with his broken in 2000 mile WRX. and the U.S. WRX does have a better power to weight ratio than the S4 which can run a 14.0s stock QM (although we all know we'll never see that time on a stock WRX, so thats not what i was implying)....blah, blah, blah, etc.

and thanx to all you people who decided not to return the favor of assholism to me. alpha dog i remeber when u had like 25 posts or something and you were making an ass of yourself (which your quite good at i might add ) and everybody went off on you, but i told em to lay off....glad to see ya come in and help me out in a similar situation. we need to relax and just chill out, everyone crack open a beer sit down and take a deep breath with me..... this was not that big of a deal!.......... alright later all

Actually, the Euro-spec WRX is exactly the same as the U.S.-spec, 227 hp. But they don't use hp in the publishings. It's listed as 217 PS.

217 PS = 227 HP
