Talking Driving songs?

I'm making a couple of CD's for driving. What are some of your fav's.I made one CD already and all of my friends love it and want me to make some more. I pull most of my material from Napster. I'm partial to heavy metal and Techno, but all songs are welcome.

Metallica Metallica Metallica..

Darkness imprisoning me.... blah blah blah..

Oh yeah!! Master...

Also I'd give consideration to Rob Zombie and a couple of good Megadeth songs too..

Can you tell that I'm into heavy metal?

Cool

I'd have to say Goldfinger personally. Punky surfer music with a pinch of ska.

I thought of a good theme song for the Scoobs a wihle back and nevre posted it. Beastie Boys - Brass Monkey

An EXTREMELY good techno disc would be Chemical Brothers - Exit Planet Dust. It is their first album and has some GREAT stuff on it. I've had it for about 4 years and I'm still listening to it and loving it.

SAMURAI- I had Orion on the first CD. I was thinking One for the second edition. The fast/slow pace is perfect for stop and go traffic. I also had some Acid Bath, Deftones, Fear Factory, Godsmack, Pantera, and NDE(local band)on the first one. I also love my Hardcore music.

BRUCELEE - I had DJ Jean/The launch,System F/Out of the blue(DJCommie remix), and DJ Quicksilver/Believe. I am new to the trance scene though. I fell in love with it when I went to Tampa. That is all the clubs played. Awesome time. I am hungry for more artists.

Tecno of course!

Moby- Orbital-Chemical Brothers-Lords of Acid-Prodigy! to name a few!

Call me old, but I love driving to 80's music! INXS, U2, Duran Duran- to name a few!

Pretty much anything- but none of that chanting of the demons music known as country!

I didn't read all the replies so maybe repeating.

The Cardigans - losing my favourite game (Gran Turismo theme song!)
No Easy Way Out - Rocky 4 Soundtrack

These always get me on the pedal! Oh and I've been banned from Napster, DAMN METALLICA!

Hi All,

As a UK club head, I'm biased towards hard trance but any of the following can be usually found on the various unlabeled mini-discs in-car at the moment:

"Dance"
Anything mixed by Paul Van Dyk
Anything by Starfighter
Chemical Brothers
System 7
Red Zone
Most Ministry Of Sound mixes
Most Slinky mixes (bit laid back)
Orbital
Tekra
Mixes by Sasha and/or Digweed

"Other"
Bob Marley (to chill too)
Senser
Ministry
Metallica (Justice.. and Master.. only)
Cowboy Junkies

Cheers

Ian

Being a metal & techno fan myself just about anything that is loud and evil sounding, but some of the songs (the ones that come to mind, anyway) that usually get me up into triple digits or tearing around corners are: most of the heavy Static X stuff, Ministry's Burning Inside off of "In Case you Didn't Feel Like Showing Up" album, Radar Love...I forget the band...the old one they play on the classic rock stations(conjuers up images of desert highway at night doing well into the triple digits..don't know why), and the Cardigan's song from the begining of Gran Turismo 2, My Favorite Game.

I like techno, but I never know who's good, so I don't buy anything. This thread should be quite useful.

A few of my favorites if I'm in the mood to haul some serious a$$: Utah Saints, Counting Crows ("Rain King", "A Murder of One", "Angels of the Silences"), both tunes that Yeoman posted above, The Cult ("Fire Woman", "She Sells Sanctuary"), various U2 (mostly singles/remixes - "Lady with the Spinning Head" dance remix is a good one), the Matrix soundtrack, Ministry ("Jesus Built My Hotrod" is a car nuts anthem I think), etc.

I think maybe I need to get some of this trance stuff, might be what I'm looking for. I like smooth techno ("Something Good", "What Can You Do For Me" and "Solution" by Utah Saints, track 4 on Matrix by Rob D I think, etc), not real big on the drum and bass stuff (I recently picked up DJ Rap's latest and I wasn't real impressed, but I guess that's all I've tried so far). I'm gonna have to do some shopping based on this thread, see what I find to my taste.

Twist and Shout - If you don't end up speeding, you're not listening to it loud enough.

Radar Love - white lion or the original
I can't drive 55 - sammy hagar
fuel - metallica
501 - megadeth
bad habit - offspring
jesus built my hotrod - ministry
jerry was a racecar driver - primus
(cant) stop the rock - apollo four forty

But also anything by VNV Nation for some good, pounding EBM. I love trance for driving, but for those really long drives, you need music you can sing to - it helps keep you awake.
