RC Engineering 550 cc/min injectors (pic inside!)

I have a set of 4 RC 550 injectors for sale. Selling because I need bigger ones. These are $95 a piece from RC Engineering website, Click Here for new price. I am asking $290 shipped.

Out of curiosity, how much were those fuel rails? If you dont mind. I've been looking for a fuel rail kit for my 99 impreza.

I can't remember exactly how much they were, I think it was around $300 plus.

Nobody wants these injectors??

what did you use to seal those injectors to the manifold? i have 440s and had to rig something up, but your job looks very clean!

Jay, that's RTV silicone you're seeing there, used for added sealing. There is a rubber o-ring seal inside the manifold, close to the tip of the injector.

It worked pretty good. The secret is to rotate the injector a few turns in the injector bung after you have applied the silicon.

Boost-up- how much power are you running right now to be needing bigger injectors? I was told you will never get it to idle right if you go any bigger CC's! I am running 300WHP @13pounds of boost with no fuel problems and the same set-up.
I am wondering if i should install secondary injectors or go bigger? (I Want to hit the 400WHP mark)

Running zero HP now....engine's out of the car.

I was running about 250 whp at ~80% IDC. I am currently building up the engine a little to hopefully support more HP and don't want to run out of injectors later. Idling shouldn't be a problem with proper tuning, granted you'll not have OEM quality idle but it'll be acceptable for a loud and rough car. For what it's worth, my friend's WRX is idling ok with 800 cc/min injectors.

If 1800 rpm is acceptable then its all you! You know you can run a second set of injectors controled by the tec? It will take a tuning guro like Shiv to tune that thing

No, no 1800 rpm idle here....should be around 900 +/- 100 rpm. My idle with the 550's was at a nice 700 rpm. Where did you get the 1800 rpm idle from?

That's pretty crazy....I still want to keep my car as a daily summer car.

That's because I haven't done much at all, Mike. I pulled the motor over x-mas and finally today I disassembled the heads from the block.....that's it. More will get done once all my parts get in.......damn custom stuff takes forever....

I think your STi wagon needs some 550 injectors

I use them in my 2000 2.5RS intake manifold but they are standard size and will fit most any engine that has top feed fuel rails. The o-rings on the top and bottom are about 15mm O.D.
My buddy has a set of these in 1000 cc/min size on his WRX....so that means they'll fit WRX manifolds too.

My (soon to be mine actually) wagon is only a lowly OBS so I think 550 injectors are bit overkill.
