Do not use octane boosters. They are crap.
Stick to 87 or 89 octane fuel, unless you are running a turbo or a SC.... or playing around with your ignition system.

Thumbs up

I tried NOS Octane Booster for Solo1 and it works, you can definitely feel the difference. I also tried Outlaw (of course the Racing ones) and also works, now the difference is that NOS kills the Catalitic if used too often, Outlaw does not...
Give them a try you have nothing to loose...

An Octane Booster review was done by a magazine a year or so back, concluding that many of those available here had a minimal octane increase unless you wanted to spend $$$. Situation may be the same there.

A point of interest for you is that our WRX's require Premium Unleaded fuel (PULP), which has an octane rating of approx' 95 RON.

Also, there was a special run of 400 (399 to be exact) 2-door Ver 5 STi's by Subaru Australia and detonation (and worse!!) problems were reported during "hard" driving, that were believed to be caused by the lower octane rating of our PULP (95 RON as opposed to 100 RON in Japan). It was rumoured that the second run of STi's (4-door Version 6's) were detuned to avoid the problem.
