Question How sensitive is the speedometer needle??

I was installing Bankheists' blue guage conversion and did not manage to get the speedometer needle working smoothly. The speedometer would get stuck around 65mph and would not go any higher. So I removed the blue gauge conversion to see if the needle would move freely but it doesn't seem to fall back to 0mph as freely as before. It seems to hesitate a little on the way down.
After jiggling the speedo needle a bit the needle moves alot smoother.

My question is, does jiggling the speedo needle cause any damage?? Does it take much to screw up the calibration of the speedo needle???

wrxsti, when I put in my White face guages, I noticed the same thing. My Tachometer would get stuck around 3K, after messing with it for a while it got better, but not back to normal though Anyone know why this is?

yep, installing those damn color mods screwed up my meters. My speedometer has problems from 0-25mph. rpm jumps a little bit now and then. my gas meter won't tell me that my gas is low. The needle doesn't drop below the 1/4 mark at all. Only the clock and temp works hehehe

Solution? Thrash all the mods and just played around with the meters until at least they were moving They put everything back.
