Default Hooking up a 6mt into a non 6mt car

Ok, i'm NOT asking how you hook up the dccd and that stuff. What i would like to know is how do you hook up stuff like the speedometer-backup lights-neutral swictch and stuff like this?
Does this stuff share the same plug as the wrx/legacy/every other subaru out there or is it different?

Yeah, subaru tech as in trained to work and diagnos factory stuff, not modded stuff that has been imported . The six speed does come here now with the sti, but it is sooo new that i'm sure he hasn't even seen one up and close....yet.

Most dealerships, as of recently, didn't have a certified 6MT technician on hand. The stuff you have listed are no different than any other transmission. The backup lights and the neutral switch are both switches that get pressed when the transmission is in a certain position. If you do not have a WRX, then your backup and neutral switches might be different. In that case, I'll bet you can swap the switches from the old transmission to the new. I did this on my car for awhile; ie: I had a 2003 WRX transmission and I was using my 1996 L backup and neutral switches.

I don't think anybody has confirmed if you can use a mechanical vehicle speed sensor with the 6MT, but the speed sensors were interchangeable in the older years.

Cool, at least that takes care of the speedo issue then. I'll be using a 02 wrx harness in my legacy to get things going. I plan to use the wrx guages too.
