Question Turbo Timer Harness question

I need to order a Turbo Timer and need an answer:

Does anyone know if a WRX STi harness will work on the Baja Turbo?

there are absolutly no hits for performance parts for the Baja Turbo on-line.

thanks in advance

Just curios - why would you need a turbo timer? It is a beaten-to-death issue in XT forum: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...hreadid=457145

Man, that really sucks for all those people who spent a hundred plus $$ on those stupid things and they never even needed one Not to mention all that extra gas they consumed while there car was just sitting there doing nothing for a minute or so! Over a year that could really add up!!

The way I see it, the owner's manual doesnt require synthetic motor oil, but lots of people use it for "added" protection. And everyone agrees on driving a little extra to "cool down" the turbo after hard driving.

That Turbo Experiment also makes no sense. Take a close look at the graph. On the "Hot Side" lines, at 0 minutes why is the "idle" temp 825 degrees and the "Shutoff" line temp 775 degrees. If it was a true controlled test, they would both start at the same temp. How can the temp rise after you have stopped your vehicle to idle?

I agree that with the new technology, the "Shutoff" cooling has greatly improved. Is a Turbo Timer overkill? Maybe, but at less than $100, why not? It wouldnt hurt... plus I would most likely be setting the timer at 1min. As far a gas mileage goes, you idle 2 minutes at each red light. So it would be like hitting 1 - 2 extra red lights every day (assuming you start\stop your car 4 times\day). Gas mile is a non-issue.

I think it will be a nice extra care you can give to your investment -however, it sounds as if it comes at the expense of warranty denied - not sure on which parts, but I guess the warranty on turbo assembly and cooling system would be some of them. And that is a pretty darn expensive component in this car...

I was more thinking a way to ventilate/cool my garage: 90 degree heat in summer + red hot turbo sitting under my daughters' room = roasted kids room....
