Cool 19in rims

Anyone on here have 19in rims on there WRX or STI. If so do you have pics and how well does it ride. Because im trying to get 19in rims and the Praxxs air system. In my 03 WRX. So tell me how you like the Praxxis air system and if I should use 19 with or without on the car

Thanks Jax

but besides that there are some people on here with 19's, the only name that comes to mind is milla. As for my belief of them is that they will be a pain with avoiding potholes and not the great rid so they are stupid.

now the air ride set up thats just retarded especially on an awd car is ruins its handling completely and why would you want that?

the praxis system is designed for the WRX.

It actually works pretty good.

Why stop at 19s when you could roll on dubs, or 22" with a suspension lift?

I'll chime in too... I can understand that it's all for show, that fine.

But it doesn't even look good! It's tacky! Even if I looked at it as simply an art piece it looks bad. You're trying to make the WRX into this extreme thing, but the WRX is ugly anyways!

I don't get it. Sorry.

ARe you saying that 19's are ricey? Or putting 19's on a WRX is ricey? It depends what you like. There are alot of cars out there that come stock with 19's. BMW, Benz, Ferrai, Porsche and none have a problem with handling or potholes. This WRX is on 19's and its tight. Doesnt look ricey or stupid at all. its on Axis Neos :-)

So, 19 inch rims are rice but the STi huge wing is not? And the Folgers coffee can exhaust everyone seems to have is not rice either? Nor are the carbon fiber black hoods on every color except black not rice? Should I even mention the gawd awful wings like the one that World One now offers (man, that thing is funny looking)? C'mon, all that can be viewed as rice. About the only exhaust that looks non-rice is B&B so far. Don't even get me started on the front fiberglass spoilers.... Rant over, flame suit on

they were saying that 19's on a WRX were ricey... not 19's in general. The only rims I like in 19"'s on those above pics are the ones on the Sparco WRX.

19"'s are definitely for show. There's no performance reason to get them. A lot of people here associate show w/ rice.

and quicksilversti... I don't think my prodrive muffler looks ricey.

Personally 19's look a little strange to me on a WRX. I wouldnt call it rice but 19's just look too big. I wouldnt go any bigger than 18's if it were my car....BUT IT ISNT MY CAR so do whatever you want! I have some stuff on my car that would be considered rice but I dont car cuz its mine and thats how I want it. I love how people define rice on this board. "If its not stock, and has no performance gains, its rice" so you're tellin me that if a stock Japanese car comes out with Altezzas(like the JDM Toyota) Than thats not rice but putting altezzas on say a honda, that is considered rice? Its the same with body kits. Dont tell me a body kit enhances performance cuz it doesnt, yet tons of people on here have body kits for their subies and yet its not rice. You guys are contradicting yourselves!

I think its a matter of time and will see a lowrider WRX with hydraulics, tiny deep rims that stick way out, if its hasn't already been done yet.

Articles about the Praxis stuff:
http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/03...wrxsuspension/
http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/t...xis_press.html
http://www.overboost.com/story.asp?id=1090

Sounds pretty hooptie. Is it worth $3400? I think the Prodrive Active Suspension is $3K...

BTW, tires for 19's are going to be super expensive... what exactly are your goals for the car? If it's anything but car shows I have no idea why you'd want 19's

Consider English as a 2nd language...

280 whp is not the same as 280 hp
