Default Really talking about the New Legacy

OK we were thrown off topic here but here is the link again
http://www.need-desire.com/

i think it is very cool and stylish. I think there were complaints of it being not as sporty interior-wise as the impreza/wrx - well it isnt supposed to be! It is suppose to be a family sedan. I think Subaru is also trying to reach a little further up-market, where Honda, Nissan, Mazda and Toyota is doing with their flagships.

I am glad that they are heading in that direction for the company, so they can earn more money and spend the money on R&D and make better cars.

H6 twin turbo would be awesome of course, but that might be a little over the top. I am not sure if ppl are ready to dish out that much money for a subaru right now or in the near future.
I think anything that drastic and technically difficult design would probably appear in an Sti first

thnx for ur attention, my 2 cents

I am really interested in the new legacy.

But I was hoping that they would have a lower line turbo, similar to the WRX engine, that would share the same price tag as the existing legacy GT line.

I would love to be able to purchase the new GT for 36K.

I guess we will have to wait and see what Subaru officially introduces for us in the following months.

Parousia - well they cant price a legacy GT with the WRX engine in it and cost 36k. that will significantly cut into the sales of the WRX. The legacy has a larger and more upscale interior, no one will pic the WRX then. It is one thing to be competing with other cars of the genre but competing in the same price with your own company is kinda dumb. ie Prelude vs Integra days (IMHO)

yup a 2.5L NA legacy can still be had for 35k or so still probably, but i am sure the 2.5 Turbo one would definitely be 40k range

If the Saab 9-2x sells well, you might see a 2.5L turbo legacy rebadged as a Saab in the near future as well

The Legacy turbo will NEVER compete with the WRX. It's too cushy, large and heavy compared to the WRX.
