All the connectors suposedly have numbers, like b135,b136 etc.etc.... Where are they? I've looked on almost all the connectors on both my cars and the donor harness ad can't find a single number

The plugs themselves are not physically numbered. You'll have to match them up visually to the illustration of them from the wiring diagram. Then you can label them yourself.

Pay a visit to your local Subaru Dealer or do a search here for them. I know you can download them too. I have the manual for the 2000 RS but it is an actual physical book so no you can not have it. As for the WRX one I have the diagram for it as a pde but it is for the 02 so you're SOL.
My sugestion is to download the diagrams and print out the pages that you will be working from scaled up to fit onto an 11x17 sheet of paper so you do not go blind from staring at your monitor or the small print. IM me if you have anymore questions. Z |

There are links in the FAQ regarding where to find the diagrams legally.
I can answer specific questions since I have a large number of the manuals, but I will not pirate them. I went through and printed out all the wiring digrams pertaining to the fuel tank, instrument cluster, backup light system, oil pressure and thermometer, ECU I/Os, engine diagrams, and then all harness/plug locations for the car. -Jon |

I called my local subaru dealer to see if I could go down and copy the pages I need out of there book, and they basically acted like it was top secret info and said hell no!. Has anybody ever tried to email the dude that runs ravensblade impreza site to ask for a password for his tech manuals?

You can go there and buy them from the dealer. You are gonna have to pay for the manuals no mater where you go.

If you will go into the FAQ you will notice it is only $20 for a 72 hour access period on http://techinfo.subaru.com . Brian is not going to give you access to the tech manuals, sorry. There is this thing called copyrighted material and the factory service manuals fall under that category.

Don't even start with this crap. If you are struggling to afford a $20 fee, good luck in getting a running car.

I spent $1150 in parts beyond the swap that I found I needed once I was getting everything installed. Missing a sensor? BANG! $100. Bent crossmember? BANG! $300.
