Have a Nice Day? Ok Ok! is 45 series better or 40 series

Im the process of buying tires (hehe bayarea subier's are finally relieved to see this) and want to know if 45 series would be better for our car (in handling etc) or 40 series
it seems 45 series costs 25$ less than the 40 series on tirerack.com

just for the side note. im really thinking about the Dunlop Sport SP9000..
Awesome tire i've heard with excellent treadwear and amazing wet handling

What do u guys think?

I will never buy dunlop tires again. They let loose way quicker than RE-71's and those aren't even the greatest. Anyways. If you live in Oak or Alameda stay with 45's if anywhere else where pavement is 90% good go with 40's. Oh yeah, I am running S-o2's now. 17 215 40.

40 series are great on my car. Ownly downfall is that the speedo reads about 6-7MPH higher than it should and puts more miles on cars Odo.

Try checking to see what is the closest to the stock size (205/55-16) on the Tire Size Calculator

Kumho Ecsta 712's are their first street tire, and they kick all kinds of a$$. Price included. You're thinking of the V700's or something...

BFGoodrich KDW's are great for the street, wet or dry. Stiff sidewalls. A little steep in price though. Not as bad as Michelins in price.
