Question Anyone know this WRX?

A friend of mine is looking at some used WRX's and came across a silver 2002 at Sam Johnson Cross Creek Lincoln/Mercury/Subaru in Fayatteville. Here's the URL to the Autotrader ad:

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...or=&cardist=58

This is one of my best friends so if anyone knows anything about his car could you please post here or send me a PM. Also, if anyone can identify the rims on the car, that would be great too. While I'm at it, if anyone has any advice on things to look for on a used Rex (or advice on how much he shouldn't pay) I'll take that too

Thanks, Elvis

The wheels look like rota subzeros.

Default I thought that at first

I have sub zeros on my WRX and thought they were these at first but right now I don't think so because the picture looks like the spokes are straighter than the sub zero (which also means the sub zero has a more pronounced polished lip).

That means I'm going to have to go downstairs now, go out in the garage and freeze my arse off to make sure I know what my own rims look like

Thanks, Elvis

those don't look like subz's to me... the spokes are closer to flush w/ the lip and the spokes are more rounded on the edges.

Those are definitely NOT sub-zeros. The arms on the Rota's are not flush with the lip. They kind meet the rim in the middle of the width.

And that's not an STi scoop either. The STi scoop is taller than that. Not by much, but it is taller.

Sorry, I don't know the owner.

I will have to walk outside to look at my scoop.
I thought the stock one was smaller.

That looks like a stock scoop to me. The wheels are almost certainly these:

(BTW, I have a set available if anyone wants them. Only used on Sundays!)

Default Thanks...

Thanks Chris, my friend has pretty much always owned black cars and the only colors he is interested in are black and silver. He did call me on the phone and ask if I'd be OK with him getting a silver one (since that's what I have). I told him it would be great!

I appreciate the info.

Anyone recognize that silver WRX in Fayettnam yet?

Dave
