Default Dunlop SP Sport FM901 Tires

Any experiences with this tire?

My local tire shop told me these are "okay" as all season tires (listed as summer tires)... I trust his judgement (I've purchased several sets of tires for different vehicles from him), but I'd like some first hand reviews...

Thanks.

summer tires won't do very well in the winter time. The rubber compound will become hard and ineffective, and the blocky tread pattern will do very little for you on ice, snow, or any other slippery condition.

Not worth the rist IMO. Also, your insurance agency might not cover you if you get into an accident in winter weather if you've got summer tires on.

LaterZ!

also, the FM901 is not the best summer tire either!

Just not a worthwhile tire at all, in my opinion.

In Arpril 2002 we had a freak snowstorm that dropped all of 2 inches. I drove on my 901's that day... it was the scarriest ride of my life-- these tires have a hard time just driving down the road at low speed in snow. They are also horrible in the wet, regardless to tempature.

The soft compound is grippy in the dry, but the damn sidewalls flex so much they are almost useless.

I read somewhere that professional drift racers love these tires.
