Default Ryan at Irvine Subaru

Ordered a VF23 turbocharger, unit was damaged during transit. Ryan shipped another 'overnight' at no extra charge..... Great customer service!

Default Irvine Subaru - How we doing?

Ok guy, I wanna know. Good. Bad. Otherwise. Let me have it. The only way to improve is to know what we're doing... right or wrong so we can enhance or improve those things. So... let us know.

Very good in my opinion..

Example : I recently choose to cancel an order I placed with you guys because the part I needed was on back order which is understandably out of your control, so anyways after waiting a while I decided to go elsewhere because you were not sure when the new shipment was to arrive. When I contacted Ryan via e-mail which incidentally is not always the best way to get a response back from a vendor, especially if you want to cancel an order, but Irvine Subaru ( Ryan ) got right back to me the same day and said no problem. He didn't try to talk me out of it or worse tell me something that was not quite accurate, if you know what I mean, ie " don't worry man, it should ship any day now ".... I think this is an excellent way to judge a vendors true colors, and I WILL give them my business in the future.
Tom..

Excellent in my opinion. I ordered a set of springs and they were shipped out right away. extremely fast response to e-mails which is great considering it takes days for some vendors to reply, Ryan takes minutes. Thanks alot keep up the good work-James

The service seems to be top rate but to be honest ....hope I dont get stung for this one.... but your prices dont make it very attravctive to do business with you.

COMPETITION
-example-Cusco Exhaust Manifold - $1050 shipped
Cusco Zero 2 Coilovers (WRX) - $1695 shipped
Cusco Zero 2r Coilovers (WRX) - $2199 everyday price

IRVINE SUBARU

Cusco Header $1385.00
Cusco Zero 2 Coilovers (WRX)
Normally $2392.00, but $1999.00 while supplies last.
-regarding the zero two r's
A quote from a recent post of yours They are...
Retail $2817.50
Your price $2399.00

Hopefully this is an acceptable way to display what you guys could change. I have a lot of respect for Irvine subaru... the service and treatment overall is among the best in the business. I just wanted to point a few things out since you asked. I know you try hard to give us good deals but the difference in some of these prices is tremendous, and they were all found right on the i-club or on a link easily reached on the i-club.....all within a few days before or after.

Thanks for listening and again I dont want to come off harsh..... just putting that out there.

So far so good!Just installed my Whiteline rear strut support, nice peice.Better price!!
Irvine-$75
Competition-$100-$130
Keep up the great work,we need more vendors like Irvine.Just remember that consumers usually research prices extensively before they place an order,so the right price is the first step, then you can concentrate on customer service.Knowledge is contagious.

The pricing issue. Its come up before and I don't mind explaining it. We work directly with most of the aftermarket manufacturers in an R&D and knowledge sharing capacity. Out of respect to those manufacturers I won't advertise too much below their retail prices on my web site.
The CUSCO parts are a bit different of a story. We dont grey market. In other words, we don't source the parts through Japan from unofficial channels. This happens a lot with CUSCO, GReddy, etc. We buy through the official importers of products due to the relationship we maintain with those importers and the companies themselves. This is the reason the price may be slightly higher on some items.
I understand price is generally the bottom line, but having a warranty and complete support for my customers is more important that offering shoddy service and no warranty/support, etc.
I hope this sheds some light on the situation.

Irvine Subaru rocks!! Both service and parts. Had them put in my uppipe and pulley, and have bought several times from their parts department with no problems.

Also, Ryan is a cool guy to chat with and will always find time to explain and chat w/ you about performance related stuff.

Two thumbs up!! It's a wonder you haven't got a thread of your own until now!

I think you guys are doing great. The customer service is awesome, Ryan even called me to confirm some notes that I had attached to one of my orders. Also, parts are always shipped quickly.

So far I have purchased the following from Irvine Subaru:
-PDE downpipe
-Prodrive muffler

Both arrived on time with no issues.

Good job!

Default What is the deal with aftermarket parts?

All that I can say about Irvine subaru is that I bought my wrx from there and I am very happy with the transaction. I have not yet modded my car. Are mods done by Irvine Sub. covered by warranty? Do you get any special deal if you bought your car there? Do they have a website that lists all of the mods available?

Thanks

Matt

Thanks for the good words guys.

silverwagon - Mods, done here or elsewhere, are generally not covered under warranty. We aren't any different than another shop in that respect. We do have the knowledge, top techs, etc. that set up apart from the crowd. We may be able to work something out for you because you got your car here.

Thumbs up

Ryan and Irvine Subaru,

Are the best vendors I know. Ryan has always kept me up to date on my orders either via telephone or e-mail.

He always has time to answer all my questions from parts availability to which parts will work the best.

Also the option of installation thru Irvine Subaru is always available.

I know when I am ready to get a bigger intercooler and turbo where I will be getting them from.... Ryan at Irvine Subaru.

Irvine Subaru and SPI motorsports is great! they always seem to have whatever i need, no matter how obscure it is, and the prices are good too. Ryan is very knowledgeable and he ships parts FAST. if anyone needs subaru parts or has questions, this is the place to go. just my 2 cents.

Ryan is the best. If you have a question, he is most likely on AIM and will answer your question. I ordered STi tranny/pitch/engine mounts on sunday. He shipped it via UPS ground on monday and I recieved it the next day. I live in San Diego, but it still. Keep up the good service.

Thanks for the good words guys.
If you're local (meaning in a 100mile radius) come down on Tues., Aug. 6th. We will have sodas and snacks and a WRC car. Just to say we care.

Come on down if you're local.
Again, thank you guys. We couldn't do it without you.

Default Recent order

Ryan,

I placed an order a week and half ago, and so far got nothing, you mentioned that a tracking number was on the way, but since July 24 no communication from you, I sent more than five emails and PM's, but nothing is back. Is there a problem ?? I think communication.

Please get back to me so I can decide waht happens with that order.

Regards,

Samuk,

Sorry about that. I'm at home right now, but will PM/e-mail you in the morning. I've been meaning to get back to you, but its been really busy and I've obviously not done a perfect job of keeping track of everything.

We had a generally good experience when we bought our WRX Wagon from Irvine Subaru back in January. So far, Jennifer has been happy with the service.

I was in a jam with a lost lug nut, the service dept gave me a take off, that was nice.

Probably my biggest suggestion is to continue to respond quickly to customer inquiries. Ryan, I had sent some e-mail to you, but never heard back. I don't know if perhaps the message got lost, or you've been out of town, or what not. I had had some suspension related questions, but we never concluded the conversation. As a software engineer who has to respond quickly to customer complaints about buggy software, I can understand how many things must be on the minds of people working there, and that it's not always possible to cover all the bases. But, it's always something to keep focusing on.

Regardless, I'm very happy to have the dealership so close to our house.
