Thumbs up AccessECU Stage 2 - Cobb

Just wanted to give the guys at Cobb some props for their outstanding products and customer service.

I just recieved (and love) my new AccessECU Stage 2.

My ECU arrived in Utah late at 3:30pm (thanks UPS), Cobb had it reflashed and on its way back to Atlanta by 6pm. It was on my doorstep at 9:30am the next day.

Because it was late I emailed them to see if it would be returned late as well. Cobb replied to my email within 5 minutes and had the tracking number of the return shipment... which informed me that it had ALREADY ARRIVED at my house.

Great products and outstanding customer service = a great company.

Thanks again,

Chewy

Stage 2 dyno plot sure makes it look like the way to go. What downpipe / exhaust are you running with it?

I concur w Chewy regarding Cobb Tuning. I live in Maine and the turn around was just 2 days which was great. As far as the results go, I love it! I combined it with a TurboXS turbo-back exhaust and the power increase was totally worth the price of admission.

Most likely this is as far as I'm going to go power wise, and I am very satisfied w the results.

Kudos to Cobb!

anyone go from a turboxs stg2 to a cobb stg2? also do you have problems with cold weather knocking or anything along those lines? I'm debating whether to switch to a reflash or stick utec. I like to tune and mess with the utec, but not every time i get in the car. Its really getting frustrating.

The AccessECU Stage 2 was my first ECU mod. I installed it last July and have not had any problems whatsoever.

It starts and idles perfectly every time... even this morning at
-11F I have been very pleased with the additional power and the trouble free performance.

I'm very interested in the Cobb reflash as well. I'm waiting to see what will be gained with the AccessPort before I get the reflash.

Thumbs up I'm happy with it.

It's been on my car over a month now and the car is running great. I'm convinced city mileage has improved a bit, but can't keep my foot off the gas long enough to quantify it. Stage 2 is about as far as I plan to go with power mods - I think it was worth the money.

Attached is a link to a thread with a compressor map plot if anyone is interested. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...hreadid=476953

-my 0.02

edit to correct link (how did that change anyway??)

I'm a stage 1 owner who's "on the list" for the access port. The idea of having stock mode, valet mode, theft mode, and up to ten maps to choose back and forth from is awesome. and no shipping the ecu to cobb - which although they do it incredibly fast, is still a drag. of all the mods and dealers i've dealt with cobb is a solid #1. Now when is that damn package comming in the mail!

I've got a tXS stage II with the Unichip, but won't have my AccessPort unil mid April so I can't comment yet. I've heard nothing but rave reviews from people who have driven cars with Cobb stage II reflash.

finally got my accessport and its great. that anti theft map is crazy. now nobody can steal my car unless they have a AP with them.

i was previously running stage 2 93 oct. gas is so damn expensive ($1.10/liter). but thanks to cobb i have the option of changing it to the 91 oct map by pressing a few buttons on the A P.

if u havent purchased a AP yet then ur really missing out.

thanks COBB u guys are great!

the AP closes the injectors from the ecu. i dont think by unpluging the battery will open the injectors. im not sure but i hope not. my guess is someone would need to hack into the ecu and turn the injectors on so they can start the car.

what i was getting at was that if you remove the cars power. ie battery terminal....you then revert to your base map and lose the real time map that was running.

no, you lose the real time map. You would need to make the anti-theft your base map to have it retained through a battery disconnect.
