Default widest tire that fits on 17X7.5 rims

I know 235's should fit easily however I'd like to get either 245 or 255's on my STi and I love the stock BBS's I figure I may have to roll the fenders with the 245 or 255's anything else to consider?

Also what is the best Summer Performance tire available and must have runflat technology?

A 235 45 17 is the widest tire that is recommended for the 7.5 width, however you should be able to get a 245 40-17 on there without too much of a fuss. A 255 is probably really pushing your luck.

If you are at stock ride height, you should be okay with the 245 without rolling the fenders as well. However, you may have a clearance issue with the inside edge of the tire and the strut body.
