Post Grillcraft Project (everyone please read)

A close friend of mine owns a company called Grillcraft in Los Angeles and he is planning on developing a line of grills for our cars! I am working with Grillcraft as they are using my car as a template. Please show your support and enthusiasm if you would like to see this type of product come to term! Grillcraft will also be at SEMA so for those of you that will be going get in touch with me via email so I can introduce you to them. Since there are relatively few of our cars in the market we will have to show that much more enthusiasm to motivate this project as well as future ones!

Thanks for you time guys!

Right now they are taking measurements of my car. The next step will be actually building the grill. So they are pretty close to doing this, but they are a little hesitant because of the limited market for Subarus. That's why we need to show some enthusiasm to provide the incentive to spend the money to finish the product.

Thumbs up

It would be cool if they did make the effort to make them. I looked at their site when I got my RS but of course they didn't have an application. I even called and at the time there were no plans to make one. So I went and did my own version:
http://www.imprezawrx.org/modificati.../grillmod.html

Depending on how they look and where they go I'd be interested.

I read about Peaty's mods a while ago and looked at Grillcraft's stuff to see if it could be adapted. I would definitely be interested. Someone requested grilles for the fog light cover area. That brought this question to mind...I have a MY98, the fog light area is quite different, is that actual grille area the same? I think it is.

I might be interested in them as well, given a good price, though. It looks like they make quality products - I'm all for that!

I'd be interested. I've been wanting to change/upgrade my grille, but have yet to find exactly what I'm looking for. I do want no Subaru emblem area, either open or with something interesting. I do remember seeing a grille somewhere that had a eblem shaped hole off to the side and not in the center, but don't know where I saw that.

Thanks!

Go to www.grillcraft.com to see their other products. I've seen their shop and spoken with their engineers, they are very focused on producing only top quality products. If anyone will be at SEMA they will be able to see them in person.

Stranger, they should have one ready by SEMA. That will probably be the earliest opportunity to see them. I'll keep everyone posted on the progress though.

I've always liked the cleanliness that puts into the front end of the cars. Granted, it'd have to be flat black, or colormatched if I was feeling really ballsy, but yeah, thats pretty cool.

Actually, I believe that they have several colors available, including a new silver (not just a grey). I am also working with them on the possibility of grills for the hoodscoop and vents. There's also a ram-air intake in the works.

I'd like to suggest that they use the grill pattern from the Ver 5 grill if they plan to make a cover for the opening on the 2.5RS bumper. Also, maybe they could also make foglamp covers in the same pattern for those of us who've removed our foglamps.

I have a question for those of you who have 98 RS', is the grill opening (lower one) the same size and dimensions as the 99 and 00 openings? Thanks, this would help in ensuring that it will be applicable to all RS'.

I don't believe the 98's front bumper is the same size opening as the 99-01's. Best off finding someone with a 98 to measure as well, though I'm not sure they'd sell a lot for that year since so few were made.
