Jarrad's legacy went 12.9, which is not too impressive, but the trap is, and the power once he gets a real clutch and the six speed in, you'll see some fast times.

Damn... Looks like 12.7 is the fastest to beat... Here's an excerpt from the title holder for this run:
Quote:
So far this is the fastest recorded Legacy in the U.S. The car is mildly modded. Has STi turbo conversion, catless Uppipe and Downpipe, Cobb AccessPort Stage II map(for Legacy). Stock clutch, tires, suspension etc... The hasn't been completely tuned yet for the larger turbo. Hopefully we'll see 12.3's @ 115 with a tune and clutch upgrade!

I know you can beat it anthony, pretty much a stock STi can with good driving, haha. Jarrad literally just pulled away from the line like a normal stop light, then floored it. haha. Once proper gear is on, you will have to beat 11's oh wait, nevermind cause its still Jarrad driving(inside joke).

I suspect I have the FASTEST IN THE WORLD, stock NA block, heads, and tranny 2.2 Legacy. Cause I am crazy and jamming boost AND nitrous into it.

8 psi plus 100 NO2 shot = 13.6 @ 101 and 13.5 @ 99. And it wasnt running right.

I have a bigger pulley coming so should be making 10-11 psi, plus will be going up to 120 shot of nitrous. This 1990 "stock" wagon should hit the 12's before the year is up.

I went through 2 engines before this one. The engines were the same, just rebuilt both times. But this motor is AWESOME!!!! I have been running it since sept (?) of 2005 and it almost never knocks and more amazingly, NEVER smokes on start up in the morning, no matter what crazy crap I do to it.

Fuel injectors upgraded, FMIC, 6 puck disk and 2.5 exhaust are main mods. I have a SMT6 but it basically just pulls 2 degrees of timing up top.

Sounds sweet! I remember seeing your supercharger thread a while ago.

Definately not the fastest though....

I think reddevil is breaking all kinds of records and “firsts” in the Legacy community:

Mercedes supercharger on an NA Legacy motor!
100-shot (crazy) of Nitrous on a Legacy motor!

Nice job and great times. Like you however I have some plans too and it involves a bigger snail coupled with two nitrogen atoms with one oxygen atom
With luck I should see the 11’s by the end of the year…

Wish I could say I was fastest OVERALL, but just for stock parts I am for my gen of legacies. Lots of caveats I know, but thats kinda a joke among certain peeps...

Someone is ALWAYS faster, no matter what you do.

it's very nice to see some older legacys running that fast. I think the fastest new legacy if probably jerrod from pdx tuning. I think he is at over 400whp I can only dream about that. I think 340whp will be enough for me on crappy 91oct. Later

12's seemed so far away last year. I was struggling to hit the 14's! Then came the consistant 14.5s, then using No2, the low 13's arent a problem, and I still have to tune the damn thing.

While I may hit the 12's on the strip, it is going to be a big effort to get into the 13's consistantly without No2, especially the low 13's. I will be going to turbo>supercharger, just not sure when. The engine can obviously hold alot of power, but I would like to not have to refill the bottle.

I guess I have two goals now. 12's on the strip, and 13's without nitrous. I'll get there!

That’s just it… You do break things…

Parts break, you replace/fix them and move on. My last time out where I ran a 12.65 @ 109mph, I toasted my clutch for the last and final time. That damn organic material is deceiving as it likes to slip when it gets really hot. Well it never came back to bite after it cooled down. A few days later the car can be driven but I tried to launch only to bump off the rev limiter barely rolling. So new clutch on the way… Eventually you replace all the weaker stock parts with quality aftermarket parts which can withstand more abuse…

damn that's amazing! i ran my LGT last month, best time was 13.90 @ 98.2 mph. i have only gutted the stock cats from the UP/MP/DP and have my AP protuned with a conservative map from TDC tuning out of NH. not bad for an AT family sedan with no mods! :P

i'd love to get down to the 12's, but don't want to spend the $$$ to do it.

Just take all your seats out, all your sound insulation, your power steering, your air conditioning, and various other fancy stuff! I bet you weigh in close to 500 more lbs than I do! Lose the weight and you could get about a 13.2 at 103.... Of course your wife may divorce you!

Well, upgraded my crank pulley. Hoped I could race this weekend, but no drags at PIR till next weekend. Which is good in the long run, it will allow me to tune and fix all my bugs.

I was running about 8 psi. Upgraded 9" crank pulley gives me 12 plus. Damn what a difference.

I should be close to the high 13's, low 14's boost alone. Not bad..... But I need another week to prove it. Add nitrous, and I will shoot for the 12's........

I'm STi ll talking out my a$$ here, but my car should be good for super low 12's if not a high 11 (haven't been to the strip, yet). If not right now, then in hopefully about a month or so when i get a few more goodies on my car (intake-proper downpipe-upgrade turbo).

As soon as I get some cooler temps I'll be heading to the track. Should be in the very low 12's & with cool enough temps possibly high 11's

Not going to waste my time going when it is 96* with 70% humidity

I dynoed today with the new crank pulley. 180ish whp and 210 torque. A 50 shot of NO2 bumped the torque to 255 but only 200 whp cause the fuel jet was WAY too big. I should be 13.99-14.1 on boost alone, and a 12.99 with nitrous if I get it ALL perfect.

Currently i'm at 355 whp at 3100 pounds fueled. The new stuff i'm adding *might* push me over 400 whp. This reading is on a mustang dyno which according to phil at element tuning is a lower reading dyno.
