Default Volk Dolce weight(?) & opinions wanted

Well, call me crazy (and I'm sure a lot of you will ) but I really kinda like these. Does anyone know how much they weigh? I have searched and searched and can't find info. I do know they fit the WRX. I can't post pics yet but here is a link to a pic:

Thanks...

Not bad, but they look heavy. Remind me of the old Porsche 928 "phone-dial" wheels.

Yep, you're definitely crazy...goofy looking on a WRX IMO, but they'd look right at home on a 928S.

Welcome to 1979:

They're cast Al wheels...couldn't find any definite spec's either, but would hazard a guess at 21+ pounds/wheel in 17"x7" sizing.

These I think are from Volk's SESTO line. That wheel line is catered for the "flashy" Japanese consumer driving minivans and VIP sedans whose emphasis is looks rather than weight. I would expect them to be at least in the 20 lb range

Yup, at least in the 20 lb. range. If you're REALLY in love with that styling Weld Racing makes some forged wheels (>15 lbs. in 17x7, IIRC) that look similar. I have no idea about fitments, though.

Those won't look very good on an Impreza. You're crazy

Default Uh . . .

Well,

Those wheels are not my thing -- they bring back childhood nightmares about being unable to dial my parent's rotary phone in an emergency situation.

However they do look a bit like the wheels supplied on the Subaru Legacy Blitzen. I don't have a picture of the Blitzen wheels, but if you're really interested in that style, maybe you could find a set for sale overseas? I imagine they'd be hubcentric with an Impreza-friendly offset (but I really don't know, so maybe I shouldn't speculate).

Anyone got a picture of the Legacy Blitzen wheels for Krautdog?

I did a search and came up with this old thread with a pic of the Legacy Blitzen wheels:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show.../t-469538.html

They look like a more modern and angular phone dial Dolce. I dig em, but I don't know if I would go to great lengths to get them, which would prob also mean big $. I kind of liked the Dolce when I first saw them because they are so different, and thought I would consider them if they were light. But the general concensus is that they are atleast 20 lbs, so I don't think I would ever get them. If my wheels are going to weigh 20 lbs, that opens up a bagillion new possibilities and they better damn well be cheap. Plus I'm already sick of being called crazy, even though it was my suggestion! (except by essogas - you rock!)

BTW the Turismo Dolce is from Rays Versus line.

Anyway, thanks for all the input, I think my questions have been answered. There isn't a better place to get free info! Maybe some will want to keep the thread alive to discuss the Legacy Blitzen wheel? It's up to you guys...PEACE
