i say get the wrx muffler (cheap) and get a 2.25 inch ss midpipe (skip the wrx midpipe; its mild steel and not as nice imho)

i have a stromung single tip ss and its nice ; but too much money

but the wrx midpipe matches up to the stock eahust and headers.. if i get a ss muffler, welding would be needed and resale vaule would suck and all that..

i heard the spt sounds good.. and mean though

i may get borlad headers, may not..

The only welding needed would be rotating the flange to bolt up the muffler.

I have borla headers > custom hi-flow cat > stromung mid pipe > wrx muffler.

Not to loud at all although louder at wot than stock, but no cops have even looked twice at me.(even if they do, the muffler has a nice Subaru stamp on it ) A unique sound with that setup.

^^do you have any like video or sound clips of your car? i am thinking about borla headers, oh and how much for the high flow cat?

on my 03 rs i have a custom 2.25 midpiipe met up with the wrx axleback(also have a jc sports intake). I cant tell you the true change in sound cause well the intake is loud when i put it down, but there is a noticeable grumble at lower rpms but nothing to get cops on you. I also did it this way because it is pretty cheap and very effective, compared to the prob 200 dollar spt axleback.
