Question WRX Shifter - Will it fit on a Legacy Outback?

Well, I've just magically acquired my old 96 Legacy Outback from my parents to supplement the WRX as a daily driver/backup car (when I want to do work).

The Outback is a manual, and the shifter is of course rather tall on it. I've got a Kartboy short shifter in the WRX... can I put my stock WRX shifter in the Outback? Or will that not line up right?

Gawd, now I have to start thinking about cheap things I can do to the EJ22 to get more power out of the old girl!

I clearly should have chosen a better title for this thread, maybe something along the lines of "naked girlies pics inside!"

it's not going to work -
Legacy to Impreza = different shifter linkage

I'm not even sure that there is a Legacy specific short shift?

either way, congrats on the car
and good luck in you mod hunt

I'll email you there, Tom... but are your products JDM?!?!?!

I saw someone's mod list somewhere for a Legacy GT included a WRX short shifter. So I thought maybe I had a shot at it. Curse their metal innards!
