Default Any Subarus with ADVAN RCII's please post

Hi everyone, first off, I have done a search, and yes, I have found some of what I am loking for. To get to the point, I am asking for anyone who has Advan RCII's or has any pictures of a Subaru(Impreza/STi mainly) with the rims to please post the pics. Post as many as you like of the same car; different angles will help me.
I have found a few pictures, but I need more to get a good I dea of what it looks like. I am trying to figure out which route to go, EVO or STi, and I'm positive I would buy these rims for either car becuase in my opinion they suit AWD turbo sedans very well. So to anyone who posts, thank you much.

Well,

I think the Rota Actions are a copy of the Advan RCII. You can find many pictures of Subarus with Rota actions both here and at www.subydude.com. If you squint hard enough at pictures of the Rotas, you can almost imagine the little "RCII" sticker on one of the spokes.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, I have noticed those Rota copies, but I dunno, I don't like the "poseriness" of it. It's just not right to not have the real thing.

Darkside,

I'm not suggesting you should buy the Rotas (I don't own any Rotas myself) -- all I was saying is that looking at cars with Rota Attacks should give you a good idea of what Advan RCII's will look like.

You should buy whatever makes you happiest (not that you need me to tell you this).

MMMMMMMMMMMM, now that looks good. Do you know if they are 17's or 18's? I've looked at h2o's STi with 17's and they just don't look as good as 18's would. With that car, I can't really tell becuase it's lowered really well.

Please tell me your kidding about the RCII sticker... I plan on getting these wheels as well for my rex, but for the money that I am going to spend on them, the RCII better be etched on or something like that... laser engraved..etc

Off topic sort of but is there ANY performance decrease going from 17's to 18's as far as wheels go as long as they are the SAME ONE? Better handling, feel less bumps/more bumps...etc

Thanks,
-Nigel

The RCII's look sick in both 17 and 18 inch versions. As you can see, it's the drop that makes the difference. The STi that dannywrx posted sports 18x8.5's while the HKS Evo stirex posted sports the 17x8.5's. Both look awesome. I will be going with the 17x8.5 RCII's on my STi like h2o did.

The sticker is similar to the Stoptech logo that's on the side of their brake caliper. It looks silk screened on.

I've said this before, IMO if you're running race tires on these the only benefit to going to an 18" wheel is it's easier to get slicks for them that is unless you need to fit brakes under them. Most race tires (save Kumhos) have such stiff sidewalls anyway that I think you won't notice a difference, not to mention that the sizes available greatly dwindle when you step up to 18". If you're just running street tires and want the "bling" do whatever you want.

Here's my car that's been posted a couple times already:

Those are from last Spring. The changes since are a roll bar, harnesses, Stoptech brakes and less weight

Thanks for the posts everyone, this has turned out to be an extremely succesful thread for me. Still Will, I cant wait to see the rims on there. Stirex, thanks for the pic, funny enough I've had it for a while and a guy on evolutionm.net posted the same car. I also started a thread there with the same topic, becuase this is helping me decide to get an STi or an EVO. I agree, the lights are terrible, but are easily fixed on the EVO with either evo 7 tails or just custom painting. Anyway, I'm undecided on styling, I like both, kind of leaning towards the EVO, and the interiors don't make much difference to me. I can easily the STi looks more upscale, but it doesn't matter to me all that much. Once again, I happy to be part of such a kind group of people becuase I thought this thread would've gone to crap. And h2o, hella clean car my friend.

ellisnc,

Was wondering what size RCII's are you running and what size tires do you have. Do you also have any rubbing with your suspension set up? I'm guessing those are the 17x8.5 with 225/45/17 falkens? It looks awesome. I am also thinking about getting these rims.

No, they're 235/40-17 A032R, you're right on the rim size though.

No rubbing, not even close.

I just ordered some Work Emotion CR Kai in 17x8 with 47mm offset to see if they fit the Stoptechs. If they do I'll probably either swap those tires over or get some cheapie Azenis to run on the street.

ellisnc,

What exhaust is that? Is it a RFL?

Not to sound like an idiot, but what are those numbers that you are all refering to for the tires? What does that mean? I thought when buying tires you just tell them what size wheel you have and you get the correct tires... For example when I get my Advans I am going to get the 17.5" wheel so wouldn't I get 17.5" tires for them?

Thanks :-)

Dude, come on now...

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...hreadid=322553

It's a sticky even...

The exhaust is the Japanese version of the JIC 505 Ti. Non resonated. Yes, it's loud with no cats.

Nope, not selling them. I would have just bought another set except I wanted something a little cheaper to get me to and from the track (NOT ROTA )

I have FLT-A2's from back when they weren't available here. Trust me, they're not even close to rubbing either the strut body or fender 235's aren't that much tire. Of course I don't have the car that low either. I'm going to do a CG height and roll center measurement this spring and see how close I have them or if going lower would increase the distance between the two.
