Default New STi/Sedan Sub enclosure GB

the new STI and sedan enclosures are ready to go. big change for this new enclosure is the move from the passenger side to the driver side. no change in quality or sound, just placement. this is the first and only STi enclosure produced for the masses, so get them while there hot

the GB will be for 10 enclosures to get us started, more if needed. the GB will end Februaru 14th. i would like everyone who is interested to prepay, so that when your enclosure is ready, it can be shipped. i will add your name to the list once i recieve payment from you. price for the sedan/STi enclosure will be $155 shipped, and include polyfil for the enclosure, mounting screws, and of course the enclosure.

any questions can be answered here, or emailed to me at supersubee@cox.net

if anyone is still interested in the wrx wagon enclosure, there are a few left and can be had for $145 ea. GC8 dual 8" enclosures are also available, 3 pair left, for the price of $250 shipped. and finally the GC8 trunk enclosure, or the old version wrx sedan enclosure, can be had for the price of $170ea ( there will be added build time as they are made at time of order).

easiest way to pay is via paypal, my paypal address is supersubee@cox.net

pics can be seen at:

thanks, and happy ordering.

Just a few questions:

What size sub is that made for?

What is the internal volume?

Looks like it's a sealed enclosure, is that correct?

Will a 10w6v2 fit? Right now I have a 12w6v2 in my trunk, but it just takes up too much space. If it fits, do you know how the 10w6v2 will sound compared to the 12w6v2?

Thanks

What type of wood is used, what thickness is it. How is it to attache to the car so it does not slide a round.

a 10w6v2 is what is in the enclosure pictured above. sounds great to me, but i havent tried any other woofers yet either. the car pictured above had a 12" woofer and enclosure in it previous to the JL 10", and the 10 is way better. granted we werent comparing 10w6 to 12w6, but a properly designed box, vs. a prefab would be a no brainer in my book.

the enclosure is mainly 1/2" MDF, that is glued and nailed, with the baffle being 3/4" thick, and the trim panels 1/4" mdf. there is internal bracing between the back wall and baffle, and numerous pieces are CNC milled for exactness. the pictures above have the enclosure screwed to the floor of the car from the inside, though many have bought my previous enclosures and used heavy duty velcro to hold them in, with no problems.

due to a problem with the CNC shop, the enclosures will be delayed a few days until the parts are ready. expect probably a 3 day delay before i ship everyones enclosures. sorry for the inconvenience.

more production setbacks today. here in omaha we just recieved about a foot of snow, so basically the town has come to a halt for a few days. the CNC shop more or less closed down till wednesday, and i more than likely wont see the rest of the parts till friday, which puts me a week behind on the enclosures. once again, sorry for the inconvenience, i will get them out as soon as i can to all that have paid so far.

good to hear superhawk, let me know when you are ready.

well the snow still is here, but with all the snow, no one is coming in for their appointments. so i went ahead today and made enough parts in the shop to send out the enclosures for everyone that has paid so far. so, everyone on the list, except mike, got their enclosures sent to them today.

i also included the jack relocating bolt. basically allows the jack to be mounted to the spare tire and be secure. also allows it to be removed at any time you need it. more or less, you sandwich the bolt/washers/nut through one of the rim stud holes. you slide the jack over that bolt, and then secure it with the wingnut. also, to make it easier, you should open the jack up abit for it to fit inside the tire.

let me know when everyone recieves their enclosure, and if you have any questions about the jack stuff.

I received mine today and it is very nice. It fits perfect!

I got the jack bolted to the wheel and my JL W6V2 is going in this afternooon {along with a hood lock and starter disable}.

A big bump for a great product.
