Default Cruise Control

If your cruise control is slow to set(non turbo)Try taking up the slack in the cable.My 03 was that way ,you would have to hold the set position until you felt it come on.Check the slack on both cables.Makes a big difference.

Humm, my cruise control comes on with a pause, but nothing different from what I've driven/owned. Are you having the same issue with turbo? Turbo models come with fly-by-wire throttle - how does that affect this issue?

Default Cruise Control

No problems with the fly by wire,actually its fast.My 03 Baja was slow to respond and by taking up the slack took care of the problem.
