Question Re950's vs. ?

How do Bridgestone Re950's compare with summer-only tires, like the Re750?

I might have an opportunity to buy some slightly used Re950's. I currently have winter tires on, and was planning on getting new summer tires in the spring. Note that my main concern is safety, not performance.

while the RE950 is a good all around tire the 750 offers better dry and wet traction and does not hydroplane as easily

the 950 has an "A" wet traction rating while the 750 has an "AA" wet traction rating ...

Thanks. One problem with Tirerack is you can't necessarily compare survey results from different categories. Both the Re950's and the Re750's rate 8.7 for 'Wet' and 8.6 for 'Hydro Resistance', but obviously if they were in the same category the Re750's should do much better.

Here's a question: What summer-only tires are better (i.e. safer) than the all-season Re950's, but are approximately the same price (or cheaper)?
